How would you know if Ginkgo biloba wasn't improving your memory.

Just curious.

You'd forget to take it?

baddog 12-21-2008 08:04 PM

If you don't remember to take it daily, it isn't working.

If the instances of people calling you "Dumb Fuck" goes up, then it might not be working.

Holy shit we have something in common. I lose EVERYTIHING I put down. Oddly enough, I'm way more organized with clients content than I am with my own keys, wallet and cell phone.

The sad part is, I always put it in some obscure place and say, "ok, I'll remember I put it here, because, well how could I possibly forget I put it here. I mean really... who puts their keys under their shoes?"

In my mind I can't walk out the door unless I put my shoes on, so I'd see them. 2 hours later I'm tearing the fucking house apart looking for my keys so I can go out. There's no point in putting my shoes on until I find my keys. And I can't find my keys because I won't put my shoes on.

The problem with being forgetful, is that you FORGET you're FORGETFUL! So every time you put something down, you just assume you'll remember later. Same thing goes for passwords. I think, ok... I'll use this password and then there is no way I could ever forget it. 2 minutes later... I've forgotten it. I generally use variations of baddog. Baddog69. Baddog1802 (the year of his birth). baddog2020 (like Mad Dog 2020)... and yes I always forget which one goes with which username.

I used it.. And I honestly cant say it works OR not.. but i sure get lots of headache when i use it. So I stopped.
The best thing to-do is keep ur mind alert.. Dont stop learning & ur memory will be fine. But that depends on what ur problem is. GoodLuck.

There was recently a big study that came out that essentially said it's worthless. It's been one of the biggest and most complete studies with the herb.

I'd love to see that article if you find the link. I've used it countless times and never had any significant results. I don't think it works either.

And ironically, you completely forgot to mention the source, post a URL, or mention one scientists name that conducted the study.

I used to know the answer to this but I stopped drinking that gecko stuff and I forgot.

Ginko is nothing more than a strong blood thinner. It increases blood flow to the brain which in theory will help it operate more efficiently. My wife's parents have been in the supplement biz for 30 years. Their take on it was that while it does work, long term effects can lead to heart/artery problems.

Thats a good question

I don't know too much, but one would think if you take your shoes off when you walk in the door, take your keys and set them inside the shoes. You never lose your shoes, and you won't hide them some where.

I think this is your best bet.
