Ok, how weird is this shit

First - 6 sales appear (last night)

I was like - OK. I wake up in the middle of the night just to quickly check the stats. 11 sales. OK.

^^^ that with 0 traffic registered

And today I check the stats, 11 sales and xxx unique IPs.

So it took them over 12 hours to count all the hits? This relates to both AFF and cams.com, they have this spreadsheet reporting thing with all the programs listed.

Whats up with that?

Can't say I noticed that.. why not be glad the sales were still there when you woke up? ;)

If they weren't there, I'd drop by AFFs office and say hello...

So it seems that in order to properly track ROI with AFF and conversion rates, I'd need to pause my campaigns for like 2 days, wait until it counts everything and then unpause?

That's bullshit.

I like it when sponsors are fair and update their stats like every 30 minutes. That way I can know for sure they aren't shaving and that I can make fast tweaks to my campaigns and traffic generation methods.

Short answer is to add &force_live_stats=1 to the stats URL


Longer Answer
In an effort to speed up the load time on stats we began caching stats. Your stats page should load much faster now. The downside is that the cache only updates twice a day. So you may be looking at stats that can be as old as 12 hours.

If you want to force the cached version to catch up you can add "&force_live_stats=1" to the end of the URL when viewing stats. After it loads you'll see the current live stats and your cached version will be updated as well.

That still doesn't explain why during the 2 updates within 24 hours, it first updates the sales and then updates the traffic.

I'd say sales stats are updated in real-time. Traffic stats are cached.

You said you checked once and had 6, then checked later when you woke up in the middle of the night and had 11. You never mentioned that only 5 minutes had elapsed. Did you really just sleep for 5 minutes and wake up to check stats?

That was last night, I'm referring to this morning. I woke up, checked stats - was still last night's numbers. And then F5 in 5 minutes and there were +5 sales

This was probably server lag. Depending on which box you hit when you reloaded you saw different stats.
