one comment and one question.

Comment: The sites look nice, but I would add some keyword rich text to each post. Without it you will have a more difficult time getting some search engine traffic.

Question: On both blogs you have that calender icon showing the date with each post. Is that something that is part of the theme or is that something you made?

Those are NOT blogs. Blogs are WEBLOGS meaning someone sits down and writes something. What you have is a picture post.

THIS is a blog: GRAMPLAND BLOG

I can't believe someone that has been around as long as you has no clue as to what a blog is.

I love the I3 theme, use it alllllll the time, never thought about using a header the way you have, I'm going to do that with the next one. :) They look solid to me.

Rochard 12-23-2008 04:41 PM

You need some text in there.....

Well said:winkwink:

The whole thing about blogs is that they're content rich...200+ words per post is a good amount to aim for.

I was just reading that post on wikipedia...could someone explain to me why there would really be a need for programmers to be developing a cms for that? It's nothing but a single picture with a link underneath it. lol

Wouldn't it just be as easy to pull out a text editor, upload the picture and write the html in a matter of seconds and be done with something that simple and uncreative?

and no clue how to resize a pic :Oh crap

I have a huge network of blogs. you aren't blogging with no copy or any of the other essential things you need to do to actually call it blogging, or take advantage of the benefits of blogging. are you maybe using the blog as an easy way to update? looks like you're just using it mostly for the cms function.

either way they're attractive, but not blogs.

:)

Why the FUCK is it playing music?!

HomerSimpson 12-23-2008 05:56 PM

first I would kick those peel ads out since they are way too big...
next you need to resize images at your blog not just post them there...
most of the pictures are larger than 2000px!!! and 300 or more kb...

Part of the theme. And thanks for the input.

A photoblog is typically something a photog would use to post his work each day. Often there aren't any words needed.
