Answer me this win & mac people.
 
I have a PC and a Mac here that I use and they both run off the same router. If I update a website's DNS settings. (ie change name servers) I can see the update instantly on the Mac.

Meanwhile on the PC even clearing the browser cache will not show the DNS update. I literally have to reboot the PC to get the new settings to show up. This is on both FF and IE7.

Any idea why? Running XP btw on the windows machine.

go to command prompt

ipconfig /flushdns

should take care of it

jdavis beat me to it ;) its the DNS cache which in theory its supposed to help speed up your browsing.
