Do you have a New Years tradition?
 

What is your New Year tradition or superstition? Anything you can remember as a kid? Ours usually involved cabbage. We had beans and greens too. I remember my grandma saying whatever we did on New Years is what we'd be doing all year.

as a kid every year mine and other old family's on the block used to come out at 12 and bang pots and pans... After about age 17 I changed that to staying inside and banging some chick. That's the tradition now, new years without a BANG is a bad year start!

I'm Southern, so of course it's black-eyed peas and collard greens every New Year's Day. We all go to my grandmother's house and she makes tons of both.

I don't eat peas, though. And I'm not crazy about greens, either, so she usually makes my cousin and me a big pot of boiled cabbage or sometimes spinach.

I always eat turkey with my parents! Drinking after that :)

Hmmm only tradition that I can recall is getting shit face drunk and i plan on keeping that tradition alive this year too. LMAO
