Insurance companies are a legalized scam

My rant of the day...

Have you ever wanted to be a total pain in your Congressman's ass?

StuartD 12-29-2008 12:57 PM

Insurance is a scam to those who never need it.

You're forced to have it (for drivers) and yet, if you never get in an accident.... what good did it do you?

It should be changed to "just in case" insurance, where you pay and pay and pay... and if nothing happens? You get it back. Cause you didn't need it.

all true, untill your house burns down and then it's great.

I view car insurance as kinda like placing a bet against yourself, you only "win" when you fuck up...

It's a scam for those who do and don't need it... when you need it, for somebody else's mistake!, they all run away crying and the insurance companies take each other to court all over a measly $1000.

Scam artists. Add lobbyists to the list of scam artists while we're at it.

What about when somebody runs into your car and nobody will pay for it?!

I am still dealing with an accident that took place in August.

96ukssob 12-29-2008 01:05 PM

yeah it is, big time.

Car insurance, health insurance... all crap

undersoul 12-29-2008 01:06 PM

no shit, been that way forever dude

Barefootsies 12-29-2008 01:07 PM

Agreed 100%.

StuartD 12-29-2008 01:09 PM

I think it's best portrayed in the cartoon The Incredibles.... where the guy helps people get their claims if they're pathetic enough, and then the boss chews him out "Legally I can't tell you to stop helping these people get their claims.... but who's helping the stock holders huh?? Who's helping them???"

You had "full coverage" or whatever they call it or just minimum required by law?

issues like that is exactly why I just get minimum required by law, rarely you hear people thrilled with the insurance companies... they always try to find some loophole to screw you, or jerk you around for months like you are experiencing...

Some money back should be seen :)

pornguy 12-29-2008 01:15 PM

I agree but the guys that made it a law for you to have, are the ones that own the companies that you use.

I'm starting to think that public companies on the market are scams as well. These companies cannot properly operate and grow themselves because they are so busy placating stockholders... kind of like politicians. Can't do shit because they are so busy trying to get reelected.

What a mess. Dictatorships are where it's at.
