Unique Ip's / Hosts?
I'm not sure if unique IP's are sufficient enough for the search engines if you want to start a blog network or must it be all on unique hosts AND Ip's?
Ideally I would like to host with one reliable hosting provider and get seperate unique IP's with that host only and not have to sign up with dozens of hosting companies. Will this hurt me in SEO or do I have to get new hosts as well? |
Are you going to be sharing the same content across all the sites? If each site has it's own content and isn't competing for the same keywords, then IP's don't really matter.

Can you explain then why people get different IP's for their blog network or network of sites/tgp's and some even get different hosting for each one? I'm so confused. Thank you.. |
Good question

I'm only seeking knowledge, not hosting, so you can stop spamming.
This is my question: Can you explain then why people get different IP's for their blog network or network of sites/tgp's and some even get different hosting for each one? I'm so confused. Thank you.. |

Say I want to create 50 blogs and they're ALL about boobs but the content is not duplicate content and each blog has unique posts. Would that be ok? |

Thats fine. It is more for duplicate content. |
Define unique. Most professional hosting companies let you buy as many IPs as you want.

GotWebHost.com
"The first and the best SEO host." |
Here is the reason:
here are a couple of facts provided by Google ( http://www.google.com/apis/reference.html#2_3 ): * Near-Duplicate Content Filter = If multiple search results contain identical titles and snippets, then only one of the documents is returned. * Host Crowding = If multiple results come from the same Web host, then only the first two are returned Now, you will find some people that will say, "well, that only applies if the filter is on." They are correct, however, the filter on is the default setting, and I challenge you to figure out how to turn it off. I tried, and gave up after 15 or 20 minutes. I highly doubt any surfer is going to go thru the effort, primarily because, why bother? They don't care. So, the question is how do I get around this host crowding filter? You have two options. You can put each domain on a different host, meaning you will have multiple control panels, multiple bills and billing cycles, multiple personalities to deal with . . . kind of a PITA. Or you can use someone like AaronM suggested. |
