Ever had this drink before?

I'm having 1.5 ounces of Southern Comfort, and .5 ounces of Amaretto poured over crushed ice with Ginger Ale.... Heaven....

Ya, that is good.

You should also try:

1.5 Southern Comfort
0.5 Cream De Almond
Pineapple Juice

Chilled straight up.

Why do you say ounces, shouldnt people speak in jiggers or at least shot quantities? Yeah I know, no real differences and it can be measured out regardless. I know technically a shot should equal an ounce but often shot glasses have more than an ounce by anywhere from a quarter to half.

Well, an ounce is always an ounce. By your own admission a "shot" is often different.

... So shouldn't we at least try to maintain a form of measurement that is always precise? :helpme

you just answered your own question... an ounce is a fixed ammount, a shot is different...

Ya I know. I am just used to jiggers really and not even shots myself. I guess I only thought of this as I keep no other measuring device near the alcohol besides the jigger - unless of course people count shot glasses.

But a jigger goes by ounces. So if you're using a jigger, you're using ounces. It's not like a recipe calls for "two jiggers". It'll call for "X ounces", and you use a jigger to measure out the right amount.

K that makes more sense. I really do not drink much at all and just have the stuff for other people.

1.5 of Southern Comfort is just fine by itself.
