Apple files to patent gloves
Patent Application 20090000010
"When users, in cold weather, wear thick or bulky gloves ... the loss of tactile feedback to the user may prevent the user from properly operating the electronic device, and may lead to frustration. Alternatively, if the user has to remove his gloves ... the user's hand may become cold and uncomfortable, which may also lead to user frustration." So, they designed the Power Glove http://regmedia.co.uk/2009/01/02/apple_glove1.jpg The series of activities a user must engage in to enjoy the benefits of this boon to mankind. http://regmedia.co.uk/2009/01/02/apple_glove3.jpg The raison d'être of the application, is the ability to poke your fingers out to achieve maximum sensitivity while not exposing your extremities for too long... http://regmedia.co.uk/2009/01/02/apple_glove2.jpg Thanks to the Reg for enlightening me |
I amagined it would of been some type of wii controler... Not just a regular glove with finger tip holes :(

I'm sure the engineer at apple who got some cash bonus for filing a patent is laughing just as much.

Just watch all the iGlove spin offs - they won't be the same quality of material but be wolly gloves with the tips cut off  |
Maybe Nintendo can beat them with their Power Glove.

that's one of the stupidest things I have seen.. This is not anything new or some kick ass invention. They had gloves with a similar concept years ago that you can still buy today.
like http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/NEW-Winter-Thi...07158003r25266 not much different than these apple gloves. Basically a similar concept, but will definitely be over priced. It's not like these gloves can control electronic devices so what's so "special" about them? |

Plus, they're the only ones that get to submit a diagram on how to put on a condom into a patent application, and still mean business.... |
