You do have all those guns. Just sayin.. .

JK man winter won't last forever.

PenetratinP 01-06-2009 09:20 PM

Jump on a flight to South Florida, the Caribbean or Central America. I'm in the Ft. Lauderdale area and the weather has been sunny and warm (high 81/ low 69 today).

I can't stand winter and dreary days. I feel your pain man. I get stir crazy like that every time I visit family in NYC.

boudoir 01-06-2009 09:38 PM

I spent 11 years in Wisconsin. Last year we had over 100 inches of snow when the previous record had been around 75. I remember in 2001 we had 6 inches of snow on the third Monday in April!

Granted this is nothing like what you get up in Alaska, but I've been at least there going crazy with you.

Last spring we moved back to Tennessee. Yesterday I walked to the mailbox barefoot. Today I wore short sleeves without a tshirt. So fart this winter, I'm feeling great!

Z 01-06-2009 09:55 PM

Life in Panama is awesome...

85 every day.

Spunky 01-06-2009 09:59 PM

After about 3 plus weeks of snow,I'm glad the rain came back

selena 01-06-2009 10:09 PM

~raises hand~

Winter is the most God awful depressing time, and I despise it.

Being very cold natured, I classify winter as anything under 60.

Tim 01-07-2009 09:12 AM

I really hate it - the UK seems to have extended winter and virtually no summer the past few years :(

John-ACWM 01-07-2009 09:35 AM

You really sound like you need a tropical vacation. Good luck with it!

candyflip 01-07-2009 10:12 AM

I don't feel it does, I know it does.

Moving back north after spending a few years in Florida made things worse.

Tom_PM 01-07-2009 10:20 AM

This season so far: 77.8
Average season to date: 42.4
Normal season total: 111.9 (gonna blow this one out it looks like)

Thats in inches.. blah I'm fucking sick of it already. It's a massive ice storm today.. shit is closed that I never even HEARD of.. every school, every after school, every thing is closed including a shitload of roads.

:helpme:Oh crap

farkedup 01-07-2009 10:24 AM

Where the hell is my global warming I keep hearing about?

Here in MI I usually take a trip to Florida late January or early Feb because I just can't take it anymore.

LA Crew 01-07-2009 10:30 AM

The problem with winter drives is that even through the roads were clear of snow, ice and water, they still had salt and sand on them. I don?t want to expose my car to any of them.:warning

boudoir 01-07-2009 10:51 AM

I just looked, Madison, WI has had 44.7 inches so far this season... looks like they're gonna blow last year's 100 inches again.

I was in Nashville yesterday and people were complaining about it being cold in the lower 50s. It felt warm to me. However when I lived in Louisiana, I know I threw on a ski jacket when it hit 40.

I know a few people in WI who actually have sun lamps in their offices... not bathrooms... offices!

Tom_PM 01-07-2009 11:12 AM

Well the skin does adjust to the climate that it finds itself in.. so although I just roll my eyes when someone from the south or cali. says it's 60 and "cold".. it actually feels cold to them, so I cant stay mad.. I guess, lmfao.

goldfish 01-07-2009 11:15 AM

Winter has always drove me crazy, so I moved to Florida. Course I could have walked it wasn't that far of a trip.

WiredGuy 01-07-2009 11:17 AM

The cold I can deal with. Its the constant shovelling of snow thats driving me nuts.

Thats for sure.. I've got freezing rain/instant ice on contact falling over snow right now on my car and everywhere. And it's supposed to change to full snow later, then lake effect snow on top. Probably 8 more inches by morning. Heading out right now to go chip as much of this mess off as possible.

Next time you're up here, drop me a line.

Tom_PM 01-07-2009 11:46 AM

haha, gotta love ice storms. Sweeping off a whole sheet of ice off the roof and hood like a 1/4inch thick plate glass window has a certain appeal.

Based on those numbers and my own, where in NY are you? (I'm just guessing)

Rochard 01-07-2009 12:03 PM

Northern California. It doesn't snow here. It's nice. It's cold here, but the cold air is nice - And it's been colder than usual this year. But no fucking snow. I'll never do that again.

borked 01-07-2009 12:23 PM

Yeah, winter's a frikken bitch. Can't stand it.

North of Syracuse. You can get stats on goldensnowball.com where we always kick ass, lmao. (not my site)

Barefootsies 01-07-2009 12:33 PM

Agreed.

That is why I am working on my, get out of Michigan, game plan. Hopefully in a few more years I will be able to hit the Cali in the winter months.
