Wow, TrueCredit.com changed the update interval to ONCE per month!
Wow, that makes their shit service effectively WORTHLESS now. I just called up their support and told the bitch to cancel my service immediately. I've been a customer of theirs for 3 YEARS STRAIGHT paying monthly.
Who the fuck would pay the monthly now for once per month updates? Worthless... I can just pull my credit report anywhere I want now, they removed the ONLY benefit they had. They did this quietly too, didn't email me or post a notice of the change. I hope they get a shit ton of cancellations over this. |
myFICO.com FTW.

creditkarma.com, quizzle.com..
|
cancel your truecredit.com account if you have one, show them they made a stupid fucking mistake
do it for the good |
My True Credit monitoring service expired almost two years ago, and for some reason they still send me monthly updates and e-mail alerts if anyone checks my credit. To be honest I thought they always sucked, as I used to subscribe to all three and if anything happened with my credit, good or bad, it would show up on the other two but never on True Credit...
|
anyone tbhat would pay monthly for that is a fool. easy FREE thing to do, put a fraud warning on your reports. people must call before extending credit. pretty simple and free
|
No, I didn't get it for their "monitoring" -- thats bullshit, I did it so I can pull my own reports to check the status of different things I have on there. I paid their full price for a 3-bureau report -- once every 24 hours. I paid them every month for 3 years -- always thought it was a cool service.
Now they can go fuck themselves. |

I fucking hate outsourced support -- they are good for nothing but taking orders from the company or the customer. There is no real "care" about the company involved. So the Filipino I talked to really didn't give a shit I was cancelling, even though she asked. So someone who actually cares, higher up in the company, about keeping customers signed up , most likely will never realize why they are getting cancellations.
Outsourcing support is stupid -- kills your possible retention ratio. |

Credit report services are a joke. They give you a score of 75-200 points higher then what your score really is, as its the "internal score" This keeps you buying. Again, what is BUMPAGE, as I dont know that term and you are an expert.. |
Bumping your report has been obsolete for a while now, FYI.

While he has a point, and I have done that as well with the fraud alert crap. It turns into an incredible pain in the ass when you are seeking new credit. Nothing like going through phone and mail verifications 1-3 times per. :disgust |
the tried to hose me on a few things a while back. i have myfico now and they are pretty much the best i can find. for what i need, they suffice.

I do not remember the name of it, but I basically get mailed reports for changes and updates, and then when I want my TRUE "AccuScore" that all the credit bureaus moved to over a two years ago (away from myfico) then I call and they send it to me. Yes, that's right. Other than house, and a few other things. AccuScore is what is used for credit, credit cards, auto, etc. Maybe not by ALL banks, but the majority. FICO score is used by the minority now, and that went into effect end of 2007. I had monitoring service through ALL the agencies as I was preparing to buy a house, and heard that shit from ALL of them. Basically it is a collaboration score between all three of the agencies. :2 cents: |

Yeah, it sucks. I use to update mine a few times a week. (Looking to buy a new car). After I get my next update - I'm going to cancel my membership.

Sorry bitch. When there is a fraud warning, or alert on your account. They have to talk to you. You can not apply for stuff online. Or more correctly, you can, but the creditor must verify they are talking to you. Now, that said, they can call you, you call them. They verify info about you. Like past address, car's owned, payments you are currently making while talking to you on the phone. Typically 3-5 questions. Other banks or creditors will require you to mail in shit, like SSC or mailing address to verify you are you after talking to you on the phone. Seems to vary from bank to bank on their policies to dealing with an alert like this. Oh, and I happen to have one of these little letters from Capital One laying around my office here little bitch, as I JUST had to go through this with them, and Best Buy. Now.. carry on. |

I believe the TOS says "unlimited reporting updates" but I think they are trying to get away with it with their "see your updates" report, but only for TU. I'm not even going to try and get a refund with them, just call Amex |
