maybe not, but if you have love, but are broke your life will be miserable. Unfortunately, the way the world is now you need $ or you are fucked. You may not need to be rich, but if you don't have enough $ to live no amount of love will make your life better. Love will not pay your rent/mortgage, food and all your other expenses. Also, if you're broke the one that loves you will, in most cases, bitch at you because you have no $, you can't take her out or whatever.

dsnow 01-07-2009 12:53 PM

it's really a homicide, they didn't do a thorough investigation

seeandsee 01-07-2009 12:53 PM

this makes the assumption that your loved one doesn't understand your situation.... not all women are like that... most do understand (if you will at least talk to them about your problems) and are willing to work with you to get to a better place. After all sharing your life means sharing the good and the bad times. Your life is what you will make of it and while money will buy comfort it won't buy happiness. :2 cents:

Is anybody seeing the Great Depression in all of this yet?

How long until stock brokers, CEOs and all the rest of these "tycoons" start throwing themselves out of office buildings?

The vapor of profitability floating on the ocean of debt that is the US economy is burning off in the bright light of reality.

candyflip 01-07-2009 02:04 PM

That doesn't sound too Good.

Drake 01-07-2009 02:19 PM

Apparently it's a trend lately. This was the second one from Chicago I heard about. Here's a bilionnaire in Germany just two days ago.

It might turn into a homicide investigation, you never know.

This is not a US isolated situation. It's a global recession.

I understand that, but all I'm saying is that without $ these days we'd all be seriously fucked. As much as love can be good there will be many problems if there's no $. It may not be anyone bitching at you, but both people involved will feel sad, stressed etc.. Love ain't enough to make life great. you may need it, but it's just a small part of a very big picture. Yes, money will buy comfort and while many wouldn't agree it can buy happiness.. It won't buy love, but it will buy happiness. It might be temporary happiness, but it's better than nothing. How can you be happy if all you're doing is worrying and stressing about bills, food, gas, rent/mortgage etc..? happiness needs a combination of things in order to work and money can help.

I wasn't saying that all women are like that. I guess I should have been more specific, but I tend to miss a few things. haha :)

I wonder if underneath the appearance of success he had something shady going on, that will show up now that he is gone.

I didn't mean to say that this was limited to the US. But a depression in the US causes a worldwide recession.

We're the credit-obsessed consumers of the world's goods and services, remember?

germ 01-07-2009 05:11 PM

Just being rich doesnt automatically make you happy.
