Traffic trades on a member site???
I've been doing it for a while now. Maybe a conflict of interest, but I do get about 25% of my traffic this way. My thought is that if a surfer that ends up on my sites has no interest in joining, he will scroll to the bottom of the main page and click on one of the links and get a little traffic for me. There is no skimming, and no cheap tricks, but the links are run my a toplist script, so my biggest referrers will get the most traffic back.
I'm curious to get some opinions on this. Is this Cheezy? Do you think it is better to move the links off the main page and keep them in a links section? Obviously my traffic will drop off if I do this, but maybe I'll get a tad more signups. |
Negative.
As a webmaster, when I see any link on index or join pages without my ref code (except links to billings), I stop working with this program. Better make your index and join better to improve sales. |
As long as you dont plan to have an affiliate program then it does not matter. But the INSTANT you have affiliates, that is a traffic leak and will cost you at least 99% of the affiliates. Soooo... With that in mind.
