I saw this scene in a movie called The Toxic Avenger, at a friend's house when I was like 6 or 7 years old. I had nightmares for YEARS and hated riding my bike at night. I just watched this again for the first time since the 80s and I got a sick feeling, even after all the fucked up shit I've seen online. Is it just me or was this extremely hardcore for an R rated movie from 1984?

yeah... I was in the same boat but I can't say that it scarred me for life.. I've seen some asian movies that are far scarier ..... Silent Hill tops it too.... but yeah I remember when I was like 8-9 yo.. the exorcist was da bomb :)

The little Zuni fetish warrior doll scene from triology of terror was pretty um creepy for some damn reason. - Sig reminded me.

The reason it fucked you up is because it wasn't crappy cgi that gets overused these day. It was an actual thing getting run over.

I *also* knew what scene you were talking about and so I won't click it. I saw that as a kid and it has stayed with me since. Also, the scene where they burn the girl's ass on the stones in the sauna is the whole reason that even now I won't go into one.

Heh, yup... they were able to come up with some very interesting stuff back then. Some good, some bad, some way over the top and some extremely creative.

used to watch Toxic Avenger all the time with my friends in high school.

the gore didn't bother me, but I do remember that rape scene being a bit hardcore.

Well it's a trash movie so cant except anything special.But it was funny to listen friend comment how movie doesnt have sense while movie is trash niche(which means it need to have no sense)
