DHTML Video Popup
We're thinking about doing a video popup on one of our tours. I made a temporary page to show what I mean... this won't be the actual video we use but I'm wondering what ya'll think of this? We seem to do better the more video heavy we make our tours and the idea of flying in a video like this has me on the fence in that it pops over the tour presentation. On the other hand... if a good video is doing the lions share of the selling then it's the move. Numbers will tell of course but I'm wondering if anyone else tried anything like this yet and if so did they like the results?

Helped a program do that in the past - i have no actual numbers, but my feelings was that it wasnt a good move...
by all means, try it out and tell me what you experience. But i myself at this point wouldnt do it again... and of course im sur eyou know, mark... No autoplay with sound... bad for office porn surfers :winkwink: |
Its not bad but I don't see how it would be any better than having the flash vid embedded, it makes the surfer click an extra time, unless perhaps it closed automatically when it was done.

What wrong with using lightbox or greybox See www.miniajax.com I personally like
Fancy Box http://fancy.klade.lv/ or jquery.multimedia-portfolio http://mobiquio.com/ajax/jquery.mult...dia-portfolio/ |

Thickbox is another that I have used that works better than Lightbox with flash files.
