Do ponies make good indoor pets?

i think it would be neat to have a couple of ponies running around the house..

i could even get a little trailer made and drive them around town with me..

i bet the girls would go crazy for them..

i could walk them around town on leashes and maybe even get some of those funny straw hats with holes cut out for their ears to go through..

the ones you have in the house are miniture horses, not ponies. ponies are much bigger, minis are up to 24 inches tall.

With that said you DO NOT ant one in the house, you can not house break them and they piss a lot, not a lot like very often a lot like puddles 3 ft in diameter.

A nut down the street had one, eventually they condemned her house, she had 32 cats all infected with feline aids, a dog, a 15ft blood python and a freezer full of dead rabbits for the python. But the house was condemned because the floor rotted out from horse piss!

yeah, i have seen the miniature ones.. i dont want one of those.. i want the bigger ones so in case someone ever broke into my place i heard that you can train them to attack..

i have tile floors so i'm not real worried about the floor rotting..

i have 17 dogs right now and when they piss on the floor i just cover it up with newspaper until the cleaning lady comes...

so from what you are saying it sounds like the ponies make great indoor pets as long as you can deal with them pissing on the floor, which i can..

No,they shit and piss everywhere

Meeper 01-15-2009 05:55 PM

I used to babysit for some kids whose neighbor had one of those miniature ponies.

It lived in the house just like a dog.

Your better off having pet pigs than pet ponies, at least you can have a supply of sunday pork roasts when they get to fat

C-Luv 01-16-2009 12:57 PM

Rob and Big had a horse that lived inside with them, that was a funny show.

LadyMischief 01-16-2009 12:58 PM

Miniature horses might do well. I know people who have them as housepets.

They're about the same size or smaller than a golden retriever :)
