For those of you who have been crying about X-sales - Where were you at Internext?
 

I sure did find it funny when during the X-Sale seminar at Internext that when it came time for Q&A from the audience, the only thing asked or said was, "I really don't know what a cross sale is" by a porn star. The rest of you cunts sat there with cupping your little vaginas.

Then there was the sound of crickets.

No one ever does. Thats why I have been telling people to shut the fuck up about tubes. Seriously, do something about it or shut the fuck up about them. Cross sales I don't have much of an issue with. Legit cross sales are fine. The credit card fraud that has popped up as of late is really fucked and is really crippling our industry. Cross sales have gotten a bad name. What has been happening lately is not cross sales, it's credit card fraud under the guise of people defining them as cross sales.

Very few people have the balls to stand up in front of a room full of people and go at it. Oh, wait, I did that. As I remember correctly, you were at the first one.

I went to that seminar not to learn about them, I went to watch what I thought would be a heated debate. I was seriously shocked when the room was silent. Of ALL the seminars, that one had the least amount of input from the audience.

I agree with you 100% that they are bandwagon jumpers. That is my whole point and I think it has caused a lot of unneeded problems.

I think people should hire me to make seminars "heated"

Probably for the best. All an x-sale seminar would have done is get the few people who don't run them to give it a try.

I'm not one of those people crying about them so I didn't have anything to say. I just went to hear them cry and get heated about the subject. I was let down.

To be fair affiliates are the ones not happy about x-sells and few bother attending Internext.

If the room was full of program reps, staff, etc. I am not surprised it went silent, it is not in their best interest to speak out.

The reason nobody spoke up is because Internext is a fucking waste of time for a "webmaster" or "affiliate" unless you want to waste time and get free drinks. They are great if you can do business with other programs.

Maybe that is why nobody spoke up.

I don't think people were bitching about cross sales, the other threads seem to be about credit card fraud. Two totally different topics. I don't think there are many people on the board who are against cross sales that are shown to the consumer before purchase.

most of the people who bitch about xsales are affiliates, not companies/programs. they are the ones making money, why would they care?

i dont think there was a whole lot of affiliates at Internext this year as their was in the previous years, so no one was there to bring up trouble.

I was pretty surprised that we had a room full of people and hardly any questions were asked to us. I guess we just gave out so much info, that there was nothing more to answer?

Even the billing panel that I spoke on the next day had alot less attendees but alot more questions. It kinda baffled me.

we all know there are good cross-sales and there are shady cross-sales and then there is illegal billing, what exactly is there to discuss.

There aren't that many processors doing adult, its really up to them. If they think allowing shady cross-sales wont hurt their own future then there isnt much we can do.

I mean do they really need someone to stand up and say

"you make money from porn sales, if you get 2 greedy people will be scared to buy porn and you will make less money because there are less sales"
