WTF is going on with Thunder-Ball?

Just logged in today and ... 63 trades dropped! Anyone has a better stats?

qxm 01-16-2009 06:27 PM

their spider wasn't working for 3 weeks and its now catching up .. or so they say....

dav3 01-16-2009 06:56 PM

I was wondering what was going on also. Logged into TB a couple days ago and saw a bunch of dropped trades. Then 3 more today when I checked after reading this thread. Looks like I'm gonna have to keep checking TB for the next few days and deleting dropped trades.

awww fuck :Oh crap

edit: well it says this at TB "Listen up, Trades are NOT Disappearing and the sudden appearance of alerts is not a BUG. The spider was down for 3 weeks and is running now full speed and people are getting CAUGHT!!!!"

BigRod 01-16-2009 07:36 PM

Seems like TB has fallen asleep at the wheel.

Yes it does say that but the last two or three days I've logged in I had like 30 trades drop but it turns out they didn't drop them when I clicked verify, only a small few did......

PR_Sebas 01-16-2009 09:45 PM

Down for 3 weeks before anyone noticed?

Another reason I'm glad I never picked up the service. Always heard they had issues.

Do all my hardlink trades manually. Contact me on ICQ if any of you guys do the same.

What's thunder-ball?

Iron Fist 01-16-2009 10:01 PM

Too much turkey dinner over the holidays.

Kron 01-17-2009 12:55 AM

some problems with their blacklisting system, and with spider

Pornopat 01-17-2009 05:05 AM

Might play a role as well that thumblogger lost a database and needed to move back to an earlier back up.
So all recent trades with thumblogger sites have vanished....

Gasper 01-17-2009 09:23 AM

Nothing's wrong with ThunderBall, it's just people dropping trades.

People should be more thankful for this great free service.

SteveHardeman 01-17-2009 09:33 AM

I started an account on TB but found it not very user-freindly and never went back.

I don't have many blogs to trade with but I do enjoy buying lifetime blog posts on PR1+ blogs for SEO purposes. If anyone is interested in that, please EMAIL me.

TB has bad user interface and I'm fucking sick of filling LinkEx forms.

So I started working on a service similar to TB but much better and more user friendly. Something like one click link trade solution. I've started coding the damn thing some 2-3 months ago, and coded about the third of the project, and then dropped since I got bored coding hours and days... and also had to work on some priority projects that started suffering since I was working on that...

So if anyone is interested in helping me (or partnering me) on this project he can contact me on celebempire{at}gmail{dot}com or via my ICQ. The site like this will attract lots of webmaster traffic and it would be a good place for advertising sponsor programs.

In order to finish this project, I would require some:
- php developers, mysql experts, javascript/ajax experts
- sponsors that will support project (by providing free hosting/server and/or helping with design and developement of the project in return for premium ad spacing on the site).
- all other deals are possible

Approaching almost 1,000 link trades in thunder-ball and my experience has been a good one.

This is hands down, one of the best free services I've come across. Those links I have generated, have helped me tackle numerous terms and as I'm typing this. t-ball is earning me money and feeding my sites to the spiders.

To whoever said the userinterface wasn't user friendly, its fucking basic, if you can't figure it out in 5 minutes I would be shocked if you can dress yourself.

About building another service. Build it, lots talk but as you can see, nobody else has built shit. Bond built this for free, and spent mega time on it. Jumping on his balls cause he hasn't updated his free service for the last 4 weeks is basically, fucking retarded.

Great service, this is one case where you get 10 times what you pay for. (And would be if it cost 100 bucks a month)

I would be foolish to complain about thumblogger spam OR 'bloggenerator' I mean really, the 45 seconds to delete his trades out of my 5-10 minutes a day is a CHEAP PRICE to find several hundred unique linkbacks from different domains.

Do people here even fucking run websites? Seriously?!

SarahLLO 01-17-2009 11:49 AM

Keep in mind that sometimes the spider happens to catch a site when it's hosting is shitting out or something, I've noticed that happen a few times... so it goes into alert and then a day or two later, when shit is fixed, it'll be right again.

But the easiest thing to do is take note of what trades have been dropped, then go check yourself. I'd say that 99% of the time a trade goes into alert status at TBN, the person has actually dropped my link or their site has just plain vanished without them bothering to tell me. I've had people get pissed at me for calling them on it and blaming the spider, but since I always manually check to make sure, it's been my experience that the spider gets blamed for people not wanting to own up to being shady...
