It only took George Bush 8 years to do something right..

I was hoping he would do this....

Should have never happened in the first place... :2 cents:

The story is kind of odd though. The guys did cover up the whole thing and did break some laws. They probably didn't deserve the punishments they got, but they are by no means the angels being portrayed by some.

listen.. you have mexican ex military coming across the border to commit murder and the mexican govt isnt doing a thing..

if u want to cross into the US carrying drugs, its too bad if u happen to get shot.. :2 cents:

I didn't think he was going to do it

I agree. I dont think they should have gotten 11 and 12 years but I dont know that they should have been let go either.. When they covered it up, they made a major mistake..

I agree. but they should NEVER have tried to cover it up.

"the two agents ?shot 15 times at an unarmed man who was running away and posed no threat"

that's what they do on the North Korean border...

I know it's a tough spot to be in. I'm not saying this was the wrong decision either by Bush. I'm just saying that the story being portrayed isn't as innocent as they would like to make us believe. These guys did try and completely cover-up the incident. They filed false reports, lied to superiors and destroyed evidence.

My issue isn't with the shooting, it's the cover-up.

i agree.. i also think there is a lot more to the story than what is being released...

i read somewhere last year that the agents lied because they knew they were going to get screwed..

doesnt make it right, but i can understand why they weren't forthcoming..
