I used to scan magazine images, and slurp newsgroups for content to launch AVS sites and build galleries for my TGPs with. I was young, didn't know any better and content was WAY too expensive. After a few C&D scares, I learned my lesson and started buying content from Web Legal, Rock Bottom, Matrix, David Lace, Suze Randall and a few other places.

PHEW! I feel better now! I just had to get that off of my chest.

I just wanted to say "Sorry if I stole a couple of your pictures before.".

Weird that you mentioned that. Last night I was going through a box and found all of my licenses and order receipts from Web Legal and a few others that I bought when I first started back in 1997. Man, how prices have changed. According to my old receipts you paid so much for the disc and another amount for the license. I think 1 of the content disc was $35 and the license was $95. These days I can get way more content that was on that disc for way cheaper and it includes the license.

I was running to adult dvd stores and ripping dvds, luckly I made friends with the owners of the content and they started their own paysites.. someone pretty well known.

Also got some good stories of many others doing the same..

I than discovered gfy and decided to takes things serious and buy my own content.. my very first time I been ripped off.. right here on this board and ever since than I never tried making a paysite. Over 10 years later.. seems like the ppl still ripping off content are leading this biz.
