Announcing my retirement from active service.

This is it for board posting. I'm going into semi retirement for a few months or maybe a year. So to all my friends it's farewell. To the rest enjoy yourselves. Eva will continue to run the business.

Jdoughs 01-20-2009 03:42 AM

Wow grats and enjoy, although after a life of shooting hot young naked ladies, what could you possible 'take up' as a hobby for retirement? :) Atleast we can be sure you won't become a porn addict.

Best Wishes.

Paul is home, can you send it again please to newsletter@ paulmarkham dot com. He is on ICQ if you want him.

Johny Traffic 01-20-2009 05:29 AM

I just spoke to the old duffer on ICQ, he has cancer and will be taking the next few months maybe a year to concentrate on his treatment.

But he and the doctors are pretty sure he will be ok, but needs less stress in his life so wont be on and around forums to much.

But business will be as normal with Eva running it and lets face it, it will probably be an improvment ;)

Good luck Paul

uno 01-20-2009 05:35 AM

I read this thread earlier this morning before starting to get the boy ready for school, and I hoped then that it was not for a bad reason. Seems that it is.

Best of luck, Paul, and forget about this place. Take the time to heal, and focus on the positive things in your life.

Go for it!

I took a year off from work and it was great. I spent way more time outside in the garden, I read a lot more and spent time doing creative things away from the computer, like painting, or writing.

Few can take a year off at my age, so I feel lucky to have been able to.

Do it!!!!

Thanks John, will be over to the other place in a moment, for posting this. Here's the full story.

This morning I learned I had a 99% chance of having cancer in my tongue. They will perform a biopsy in 10 days, following other tests to determine exactly what, where and how bad it is. After that they plan to put me on a course of chemotherapy and radiotherapy. The whole thing will take 2-3 months and will leave me a bit on the down side. :)

Yes halfpint it is to do with what I was saying on ICQ last week. Been feeling off color for a while and the last weeks have been terrible.

Eva and I are making plans for me to have the treatment as an out patient as 3 months in a ward with old men speaking Czech is not what I need. Having my family around me is what I need. We are also taking a few steps to make sure Eva along with our staff can run the business and customers, members and affiliates will not be effected by my absence. As John points out there's a chance service will improve. LOL

This morning the doctor assured me my chances of pulling through are good. So I'm staying positive.

What I suppose I don't need is debating on the boards. I might post some pictures of me if I get really scary looking. Until then, it's goodnight from me. Be good. :1orglaugh

notime 01-20-2009 11:10 AM

So the Vegas rumour was tru then.
Happy retirement Paul !
It was a pleasure doing business with you throughout these years.
