Interesting news maybe for 2257?
I just heard Obama has already holted all pending regulations put in place under the Bush admin. I wonder if that would effect the 2257 regulation that went into effect today?

I fucking hope so!

This is a pretty common thing with a new incoming president. don't be surprised if he makes some executive orders altering or overturning some of Bush's regulations.
Is 2257 one of them? Who knows. |

I've heard it from several news sources, the memo did go out.
But I don't think it covers all laws, just things specifically put forward by the previous administration. I haven't seen any details though but I think the laws are still in effect, but say the previous attorney general ordered that 100 new 2257 inspectors be hired, that would be halted. Just an example. At least that's my understanding so far. |
