seeing anti-aging doc tuesday to get started on human growth hormone.
i'm reading up on it all as much as possible, i know several here are on it so i thought i'd see if anyone has anything they think i need to know going in. i think he's going to want to put me on testostorone too, says the benefits of hgh are enhanced with the test.

will be the best thing you ever do for yourself (assuming you don't spend your riding a unicycle drunk while juggling loaded automatic weapons and doing tequila shots)
|
How old are you?
|
im guessing you are not in the US?
|
good luck
|
It depends on your age, but I'm no doctor.
|
i'm 44 and take reasonably good care of myself. i exercise regularly and eat well but want the benefits that i read about from hgh

With all due respect, I think that your doc has it backwards. Testosterone is by far the more important of the two over HGH for a 44 year old man and will make an immediate difference in your physical and mental well being. Is your doc a local guy at some expensive rejuvenation clinic or is he a world recognized expert on anti-aging and men's health? You may want to read up on Bodybuilding or Meso RX. (not posting links, go ahead and google them yourself) and ask questions.

keep us posted on how it goes and how you feel
I think Jim may be right, the test will give you the immediate results, but I think the HGH might be a good thing in the long run, so the doctor is probably pretty good at covering all bases. |
thank you for the honest feedback. to further the discussion, my previous research on the subject-
the new england journal of medicine did a comparison of hgh therapy v placebo v. hgh + test therapy and concluded hgh + test is a more potent combination. Quote:
i do agree, i will ask more questions about the combo and which is more important. |
don't come crying when you develop weird cancers down the road
|
Why is everybody jumping on the hgh bandwagon all of a sudden?

"...A Stanford University School of Medicine survey of clinical studies on the subject published in early 2007 showed that the application of GH on healthy elderly patients.....Researchers also didn't discover any gain in muscle strength, which led them to believe that GH merely let the body store more water in the muscles rather than increase muscle growth. This would explain the increase in lean body mass." |
Good luck to you.
