Assuming Obama wins a 2nd term, where do you think the US will be in 8 years?
And moreover, the world.
What do you see Obama's effect being on: Wars Opinion of rest of the world about the US And on the US itself: Where do you see the US in 8 years economy-wise, health care, adult online business, etc? Let's see who here has their heads in the clouds and who is grounded in at least some semblance of reality. |
The world ends in 2012 so it doesnt matter.

the federal government will be so huge that America will cease to be the same country and the constitution will be meaningless....

I'm very confident about the new president after our mutual meeting last monday:

We will not be fighting any wars unless we are attacked by another nation-state. Terrorism will be treated as it should be, a law enforcement problem, but using the tools at the military's disposal to help law enforcement do it's job. Our standing in the world will be much improved. There are and still will be alot of bad actors in the world and it's not like I think we'll be holding hands with the Iranians singing kumbaya.....but we'll find a way to get along and keep our citizens safe. Economically we'll come full circle, and the business cycle should be a in a boom. Unfortunately we'll have quite a massive debt to pay off by then, and hopefully we will make the right choices in the good times to pay off the debt we ran up in the bad times....instead of doing what Dubya did and squander a massive surplus on some reckless ideas. Health care will be better. Maybe not 100% universal like Canada, but anyone who wants insurance will be able to buy it. That will be a great start. Adult online business I can't say....if you go back 8 years you'd have never gotten it right about where we are today. Changes in technology will determine where we end up I think. :2 cents: |
begging to have the Republicans back :1orglaugh

He'll fuck everyone in the ass. 4 years is long enough for him to even fuck up Canada completely. I just don't know if wackos who screamed "yes we can" will get it or will continue chanting their "change" on and on even after they've had their anal warts ripped with Obama's fist.

i think it will still be between the atalantic and pacific oceans in the world

America will be lifted up....literally.
The entire country will be raised and placed into a floating space station in orbit around the Earth, safe from all of our enemies. |

Personally I'm rather hoping his time in office has a positive influence on raising the worth of the USD back up to at least some of the respectable levels it once held (such as just before Bush's war started). Canada wasn't "fucked" back in 2003 when the USD = $1.40+ CAD, I don't see us being fucked if it goes close to that again. |

I think he is going to do a great job. He already is changing the rules on lobbyists and he had been in for one day.

Nope.. seems like they just don't get it. As fror 8 years from now.. who the hell knows.. Obama has startd off on the right track with the lobbyist stuff, but he needs to go deeper wih it. The same thing needs to happen in both the house and the senate. Keep the lobbyists away from all levels of federal govt and then we will start seeing some real change. |

?I don?t give a goddamn,? Bush retorted. ?I?m the President and the Commander-in-Chief. Do it my way.? ?Mr. President,? one aide in the meeting said. ?There is a valid case that the provisions in this law undermine the Constitution.? ?Stop throwing the Constitution in my face,? Bush screamed back. ?It?s just a goddamned piece of paper!? http://www.gnn.tv/threads/10799/Bush...e ce_of_paper |

If you are not listening to Peter Schiff now, you have your head in the sand or up Obamas ass

8 years from now the US will be somewhere just north of Mexico and a little bit south of Canada

Have you ever visited Chicago, or heard anything about the state of politics there (since when like FOREVER)? Since he's from a Senator from Illinois that might give you some idea :1orglaugh
Seriously though. However things turn out, it will have very little to do with the President unless the nukes start flying or something close happens. The President is only there to take more heat or credit than he deserves depending which way the wind blows (except for a very rare few and in very rare historical moments). |
