Any registrars offering discounts for bulk transfers?

I might be looking to transfer 650-700 domain names to a new registrar. Does anyone know of any which would offer a good discount on bulk transfer fees? Any suggestions would be appreciated. :thumbsup

Yeah, not looking forward to the bill if I do decide to transfer. :Oh crap

I have a really good rate at GoDaddy, better than anyone else has offered me for a similar amount of domains, and the support I get is fantastic. I know a lot of people don't like them, but I get great service and I talk to my support rep all of the time. If you wanted, I could talk to her and see what they can do for you?

Let me know.

Thurbs 01-21-2009 08:55 PM

moniker is the tops and works well with bulk transfers :)

you'd contact Moniker or GoDaddy, although with that amount of domains I'm sure most companies will cut you a nice deal

What rate are you getting, if you don't mind me asking?

Whew! 650-700 domain names??!!! That's a quite a lot.

spacedog 01-22-2009 02:14 AM

I'd hate to get that bill..

I've heard good things about dynadot.com:

Thank you for the replies everyone. I contacted Bari and Sly for further information. I should have also mentioned in my original post that I need privacy protection for all of them. That is what is killing me currently, around $16-$18/year for domain renewal with privacy. What attracted me in the first place is that they have free privacy for the first year when registering 5+ domains at once but now the renewals are hitting me hard.

I would like to know also. Is it cheaper than $7.19 total?

I have like 140 domains there, and have never asked for a special price lower than coupon codes.

I read somewhere that Fabulous does $7 for some people, but I don't know how many you need to have.

$16-$18/year? YIKES! I can beat that price with my eyes closed! LOL

<--- loves moniker :)

st0ned 02-21-2009 02:15 AM

So I went with Moniker and have been very pleased thus far. Thanks Bari for setting me up!

SordidMedia 02-21-2009 03:09 AM

I`m surprised Namecheap haven`t got a mention yet.

They have got a $6.99 transfer offer on right now and you get privacy on the domain initially. I know also with Namecheap that if you have 50 + domains you can request a special rate so you may get it even cheaper than the current offer?

Good luck whoever you go for. :)

Edit - just seen you went with Moniker anyway. Good to hear that you`re seeing a good service.

"Initially" - what does it cost come renew time? Seems that's the prob the OP has already. :)

I bought up some $1.19 .info domains on impulse (50 of 'em) and the renewal bill I received recently was priced at $14 per dom. I let them drop. :1orglaugh

Namecheap domain renewals are under $10 (under $9 with coupons that are always available).
Privacy pricing - http://www.namecheap.com/learn/priva...protection.asp

Edit - I don`t think discounted coupons for renewals are available (just new registrations) but renewals are still under $10.

good job
