I have watched domains sell for $1000,s that i think are worth $20 and good domains that should have sold for more go cheap.

A domain is worth what someone pays for it,not a easy market to value other than its in the eye of the beholder :)

Nah, didn't mean it to be a kick. Domains are whatever someone will pay for it. One man's junk is another man's fortune. There are some domains I paid a lot for that people would laugh at me about.

I was just kicking a little about the "white label" aspect. Since it's free and ridiculously easy to do, it probably shouldn't be one of the selling points of the domain. But to each their own.

girl, there is a reason you found that domain available two days ago when you regged it. The reason is that its not worth more than the reg fee.
You must consider this community pretty stupid if you think you can register a domain toss a default template and sell it for 100 times the price you paid for it.
You wanna get rich overnight ? Thats possible but pull something smarter.

I buy domains on a daily basis and have even sold the same day that l registered them,also l have domains to broker that other brokers,agents,or sellers have obtained within 24 hours ,its not uncommon at all.

Its got nothing to do with thinking someone is stupid.

Some domains at auction have sold for a few million bucks and the cost to the owner was $9.95,does that make the buyer a fool.

GFY has some very smart people,of course they will check the registration date and other things,I dont underestimate anyone here.

darksoul,it may not be worth the registration fee to you but maybe it is to someone else,if not they sit as long term investments.

I have also purchased domains for very high prices that you may say l overpaid for and they still sit in my portfolio.

Domain flipping/buying/selling is complex and requires large investments in most cases,it would be nice to flip domains every day but the truth is that doesnt happen very often.

The business is not a get rich quick solution and im not in the get rich quick market .

I have sold a few names for other people in the past, sometimes I would be asked to list such and such a name for sale at $XXX dollars and I simply refused as the name wasnt honestly worth that much and I didnt feel like getting "kicked" "dissed" about it on the forums.
