Title sums it up.

Domain appraisals suck balls. Its worth what somebody will pay for it.

Post the domain here and you might get a good idea of what your doms worth.

First, why do you need an appraisal? If someone who hit you up by email is asking for it, they very well may be a scam, as that's been a common scam to go around (though usually they point you to a few shammy appraisal sites). Basically they ask you to get an appraisal, then all of a sudden they won't respond to you anymore.

Appraisals in real estate have fully established evaluation methods and rules to go by - domains aren't even close to being there yet, and as such appraisals on domains are generally not worth paying for. IF you absolutely need to pay for one though, may as well go to Moniker.

just post it here, it's the easiest and cheapest way to get a feel for how much it's worth..

I agree.

Its difficult to give a true value of a domain its really down to how much a buyer needs it and what his budget is.

I agree 110%, it is also what i told the prospective buyer. I saw this scam coming from far far away. However, as my stockreserve plumeted 90% in 12 months time, we are taking any offer a little more serious than we usually do to keep being able to pay bills.

gfy obviously, experts son, experts...

perogies, brb...

howard 01-24-2009 06:01 AM

your question is too vague..

truthfully it really depends. is it a name that can be built on...is it a name with traffic. appraiser give you monetary value based on its income..also lowest price where they can move the domain the fastest....

doesnt hurt as a starting point i guess...get there opinion.....many times people have no idea what they have
