Your perfect XML / RSS Sponsor Feed?
I'm in the position of rolling out new XML/RSS feeds for a pretty popular sponsor here.
There's essentially no limit on what I can do here. We'll be feeding out in daily updates, for each site across the entire network. Here's what I can already feed out: Descriptions: 500-1000 characters long Images: Thumbs, precut to 160x120, 299x372, 230x160, 75x75 Trailer Video: Cut in FLV or WMV Actor: Name + Link to bio / sets page Niche: Niche / Categories [+ links to all videos of category] Date: Update date & Time Site: + Link I was thinking of letting affiliates query / customise this by: - Site[s] Specific Feed - Model[s] Specific Feed - Niche[s] Specific Feed Plus the standard: - Number of updates - Date range I know a few of you guys are really into XML / RSS feeds, and know exactly what you want. Any pro tips on your perfect feed? What have I missed on up there? How do you like to handle having multiple media items in a feed? Do you like to be able to select the specific media type, or do you like having them all there, and you pulling out the specific data? post away! |
I'll totally leave you a good post in this thread in a day or 2. Right now its shitty out here and i'm melancholy.
