I called these guys yesterday and today my house is short a ton of old PC's, floppy disks, CD players, cell phones, monitors . . . you get the idea.

Thats pretty cool, considering its illegal to dump monitors in landfills.. I wonder if they are sending the shit off to other countries or if they are smelting the gold and platinum from the pc boards like other people used to do back in the day..

alot of these free ewaste guys just end up selling in bulk to companies who ship off to china into dumpy cities where the locals tear it apart for the metals

They said they rebuild what they can and recycle the rest.

I remember watching a special on 20/20 or 60 minutes about the little towns in Asia tearing about these things. Not healthy at all. Hopefully the company that picked up your stuff doesn't just ship it overseas.
