man, i don't want to break your heart, but conditions are shit right now. have been for a couple weeks. i'm living down at red resort, and i got a buddy up in golden. we've been having about 2 weeks of crap weather, last i talked to buddy a couple days ago they are having the same. get ready for lots of hardpack, or at best some cream cheese turns on what feels like a spring day. avalanche conditions have been an issue in bc all season. it's been a bad bad avi year.
cross your fingers though, we got 5cm last night, which amounts to nothing more than dust on crust, but meh, it's a sign of better things. i'd like to make a trip up to revie too, but i'm holding out for pow... i hear the hill is sick though, so either way you'll probably have a blast. the village sounds like a good party. |
Just checked Environment Canada and you might be in luck. Seems Revelstoke has got a little more snow than us this past couple days, and there is light snow on the forecast for the next 4-5 days. Could get to be decent accumulation. Seems as though it's gonna be pretty warm out though.
WTF is with the spring conditions this year? lol |

Even if the conditions are not perfect today, anything can happen in the mountains and you guys could get some massive dumpage and see some great powder days. |

revelstoke has 180cm of base, that's not terrible, should have a good portion of the snaggles covered up. man red is hurtin right now, our base is melting away something awful, down to like 133cm or some shit. it's treacherous too. i cracked a rib last week biffing it on a shitty landing. been riding the couch and partying since. the aussies been getting me jacked up on tequila sunrises. there's nothing to do but get blazed and sit around the lounge at the hill, the riding is pretty weak.
BIG DUMPS FOR FEB! /me crosses fingers |
