How to get around the IE Flash auto-start issue
Here is the scenario:
Wordpress blog embedded Flash tutorial auto start If you have IE 6 or later it will not show up because it is auto start. There was a WP plugin (Kimili Flash Embed) that used to work, but it no longer does. We tried the upgrade they have but that just made it stop working. Anyone have a solution for Flash that is auto start? |

Okay, that did not work . . . anyone else?
|
pretty sure its in your code... variable includes can be tricky....
swfobject.js should still work... |
Hey BD,
Did the developer who compiled the swf (or the company) include a AC_RunActiveContent.js file to place in the same directory as the swf file? In its default settings, Flash creates this file for you when you compile a swf from within Flash CS3/CS4...and I believe it's the best way to get around the "click-to-start" IE scenario. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong. |
If you're using SWFObject, I may be able to offer some assistance. Please hit me up on ICQ. 418194907
