Here's a little business idea
Everyone remembers the old-school banner exchanges.
A company could make some decent money by setting up something similar for rss feeds.
Here's how it would work:
Blogs would add some code to their sites that showed links to related stories from other blogs. In exchange, and based on the number of displays, clicks and ctr, links to their own stories would appear on other blogs. Of course, there would be a main site where all stories showed up.
Custom programming and initial advertising would require a decent investment, but once it got going, it would build quite a bit of traffic for the main (social bookmarking) site, and would thereby generate excess views, so spots could be sold off to advertisers or used to promote the company's own sites.
Obviously, quality control (banning splogs quickly) would be essential.
