Do You Remember The First Time You Got Stung By a Bee?

I remember when I was a young boy playing in my backyard, a bee stung me for the first time. I screamed, unsure of what had happened since the event unfolded so quickly in my young mind, and I began to run aimlessly in a panic. My father and brother who were nearby became so confused and concerned at my sudden flight that they began to run too! Imagine the sight: three idiots running wildly... each of them unsure of why they're running to begin with.

Good times, good times.

Ozarkz 02-02-2009 10:30 PM

I've never been stung by a Bee. Something to do this Summer.

Deej 02-02-2009 10:34 PM

yep, it was my own fault...

Barefootsies 02-02-2009 10:36 PM

Yes I do. Plus the other times as well.

It is one of the reasons I am terrified of them, and bugs in general.

gornyhuy 02-02-2009 10:39 PM

I think I was 5, was running around in the backyard with bare feet and stepped on one. Damn that sucked.

mynameisjim 02-02-2009 10:48 PM

I was riding my bike once and a bee flew down my shirt and stung my nipple. I almost crashed.

Mr Pheer 02-02-2009 11:25 PM

Yep. I was 6yrs old, my uncle was a bee keeper.

Its a bad idea to throw rocks at the hives :2 cents:

NickB. 02-02-2009 11:27 PM

stepped on one of those fuckers when young

VeriSexy 02-02-2009 11:35 PM

I was just a wee lad.. I think it was a wasp? and it stung like a bitch

d-null 02-02-2009 11:37 PM

Imortyl Pussycat 02-02-2009 11:47 PM

i was picking blackberries when i was 12 and saw that huge fucker coming at me. a hornet the size of a bird. i threw the bowl of berries i had collected and bolted like a camper running from Jason on Friday the 13th. i turned and saw it still in pursuit. it caught up and got me on the arm. i slapped it away so fast that the stinger came out. my friend wasn't so lucky. the one that caught her was on her face and i left her for dead. i remember this shit like it was yesterday. i fucking hate bees!

SordidShawn 02-02-2009 11:49 PM

Not sure if it was the first, but yeah, I remember it. God damn did that hurt. I was playing in a neighbor's back yard and stepped on one with bare feet. Damn bees.

fris 02-03-2009 12:29 AM

onwebcam 02-03-2009 12:43 AM

First time no. But remember the time I got stung 12 times at once by Wasps very well.

After Shock Media 02-03-2009 12:44 AM

I was about 7. It was late spring early summer. Really nice day outside and we had been playing a game of smear the queer (is it still called that?). Anyways I had taken a break and went over near some bushes where there was a huge patch of those small fake looking mini strawberry plants - you know the type very low to the ground, they grow tiny green shaped strawberries and that is about it. Anyways bee's love them apparently. My mind was still on getting back into the game, so I whipped out my tiny wiener and let loose to relieve myself. Apparently the stream had agitated a bee and it flew up and stung me right on the side of my pecker head.

It hurt like nothing I can really imagine since. I remember screaming and running about with my pants falling down. People came and laughed at me something hard. Along with the pain came the swelling and I thought my diddle stick was going to explode. I had to ride my bike home which sucked even more and I had a real hard time even wanting to tell my parents yet at the same time I was fearful for my pee pee - fear won out and I got to visit the ER and have others check out my swollen weeny. Tuned out I was not allergic, but they gave me some drugs so that I would not scratch it.

Azathoth 02-03-2009 01:22 AM

I do.

The thing was already dead too! Moral of the story, don't stand on a dead bee, it still fucking hurts! :1orglaugh

Had numerous stings,those bastards!

After Shock Media 02-03-2009 07:02 PM

Of those stung, who is afraid of bee's and wasps today?
Personally they do not bother me nor even get my pulse up. I am around them a lot as well since I spend a good deal of time in the garden.

Honez 02-03-2009 07:06 PM

Probably about 7 and riding my bike. My big toe had a head on with a yellow jacket. Ouch.

digifan 02-03-2009 07:53 PM

No.. it did not happen often though and I have spent my summers in a house with a huge garden as a little girl. It is not a biggie if you are not allergic to it.

BVF 02-03-2009 07:58 PM

I was riding the bus in like the 4th or 5th grade and a Yellowjacket stung me in the lower back....That fucker HURT!!!...

Never been stung by a bee........I think one poked me once but the stinger didn't penetrate.

not afraid at all ... i always shake my head when ppl start going nuts trying to slap the lil stingers ... they DESERVE a hurting experience ... even worse when they act up like that when a yellowjacket is around their kids ... stupid ppl :2 cents: stay calm and in 99999 out of 100000 cases you wont get stung ...

uno 02-03-2009 08:12 PM

First and only time I was stung was when I was 8 and running around outside the house. My crazy mom loved landscaping so there were tons of flowers all over and a bee must have been pissed off by my proximity.

Poindexterity 02-03-2009 08:18 PM

We had a little three-step stoop up to our front door when i was about 6.
Me and some other kids were playing, "jump off the top step", maybe three feet high.
Anyways, we all bent our knees as much as we could before we jumped, to get more height on the jump, and when i bent down,
i felt a pain in the back of my left knee. hmm?
so i went to do it again, only this time, IT HURT LIKE FUCK!
i started crying and screaming and ran inside where my mother
took my pants off, releasing the yellow jacket that had somehow flown up there.

It
Was
Horrible.

MandyBlake 02-03-2009 11:04 PM

yeah it fucking sucked.
i was at a park for a cookout.
i had a grape soda. opened it and took a sip. put it down for a second and then picked it back up and took a drink.
felt something in my mouth and all of the sudden BAM!
i spit out a bee.
the fucker had stung me inside my mouth. it freaking hurt!

SmokeyTheBear 02-03-2009 11:11 PM

Jon Clark - BANNED FOR LIFE 02-04-2009 02:29 AM

They are my real fear. I can go from a level headed adult to a whimpering child with one around. These days I keep most of that panic inside and don't show it but it is there. It is all because I am allergic and had some very painful hospital visits as a kid because of being stung. I haven't been stung in over a decade and I think I live in fear of that big allergic reaction that might come. On the other hand, maybe I won't react but I don't want to find out.

Vicious_B 02-04-2009 07:35 AM

I have only been stung once and found out I was allergic. I was 7 and stepped on the little bastard. My leg swelled up 2x its normal size up to my knee. My mom took me to the ER and they told her if I had gotten stung higher on my body my throat might have closed too fast to save me. I have managed to not get stung since in almost 28 years.

Scott McD 02-04-2009 07:37 AM

Yep! I was out playing golf at the time. I was playing shit anyway so it was a good excuse to stop the round...

justinsain 02-04-2009 07:51 AM

I don't remember the first time I got stung but this reminded me of when I was about seven I used to get a big mayonnaise jar and see how many live bees I could capture in it. In the spring the bees were everywhere and it was pretty easy. I'd just go up to a flower and catch a bee in the jar and then go get another one. Of course the more bees I had in there the harder it was to catch another one without one already inside getting away. I used to get about 20 or 25 in a jar. Then I'd walk into the house with the jar full of bees under my arm, set it on the kitchen table and ask my Mom to make me a sandwich. I sure put Mom thru a lot :1orglaugh

Once while surfing I paddled into a couple Portuguese Man o' Wars. One wrapped completely around my hand and another brushed against the length of my body. It felt like I was on fire. I've also stepped on a stingray and had to go to the emergency room for that.

I'll take a little bee sting any day :winkwink:
