Logo design winner Announcement

Congrats to the winners of my logo design contest. The effort put in by all entrants was greatly appreciated.

We debated long and hard over the selection and determined due to multiple factors, we desired to select two entries instead of one. Each winner has been compensated as a winner so congrats to them both!!!

First Design -

Right out of the box came the first winner. GotGuage

http://www.tnacash.com/examples/samp8.jpg

The design was created by John who is a partner at http://www.tnacash.com. Great work on going with my thoughts. It captured what I was looking for right off the bat.

If you aren't promoting TNACash and their sites, please help me in giving them some extra thanks..... Click on their link and promote away!

Design #2 -

This design was created by itto

http://bosstoons.com/km2.jpg

Interestingly enough, design #2 was almost the last entry and caught my eye immediately. It was their second entry and gave me a selection that was different than what I asked for and thought I wanted. Excellent use of perspective and dimension. I especially liked the red flames.

itto has their work skillfully hidden (get that link in your sig so people can find you!!!) LOL but when I finally got to their home URL I understood why the entry was so well done. http://bosstoons.com/..... Please show some support to itto and Bosstoons as well when you are in need of Toon work. I like the difference I see in their designs and I will be using them in the future!

Thanks again to everyone that was involved. The new logos will be used shortly!!

Oh yeah... Shameless plug for me... WeShootContent.com We can shoot anything you desire! Amateur, Glam, softcore, hardcore. We do it all!

Click on my sig links. http://www.simplyfemales.com Promote as you will. CCBill processed site. 2 new solo girl sites on the way!! Announcement coming soon.

hello man ... three another fonts in logo, inacceptable ... blue and grey, inacceprable, lets try to print in black/white ... shadows as a part of logo, innaceptable, it looks nice here but without it it lost half of image and your logo will look another if it will be smaller or bigger ... but that are my deformations i learned in online design school, so it have nothing to do with your needs :winkwink: respect and wish you luck with your biz! :thumbsup

This MAY have been the way things USED to be 5+ years ago, but times they are a changing. Printing companies no longer have the antiquated typesetting printers or setters. The number of fonts means nothing anymore.

The trend of plain black and white business cards are fastly falling to the wayside as is the "Keep It Simple Stupid" platform. Printer Companies now have full color printers printing directly from computers and software. I have been working in print media for awhile now and NONE of my designs have lost anything in the printing process. Probably has something to do with the designing at 300dpi and Scaling at the quality translates with very little loss.

If you choose to stay and think INSIDE the box instead of keeping up with trends you are most assured to be left behind.

:2 cents:

I got a $100 that says the beveled X and oval was not drawn by hand in vector and when scaled will get fucked up.

Si 02-04-2009 12:23 PM

very nice. congrats :thumbsup

devine 02-04-2009 07:04 PM

Teencat... youre not fully up to date on what youre saying...

all the colors and fonts are fine...

it dosnt have to be vector...

if it is CMYK and 300 dpi.... it should do fine... especially with card printing...

if he needs a large printed version then it may have to be remade with a larger scale... but most likely not....

dont be hatin :2 cents:

digifan 02-04-2009 08:14 PM

Congrats.. my favorite is the second, it looks real elegant!

IamShaider 02-04-2009 09:14 PM

Exactly... Mine was designed at 1033 x 638 at 300 dpi in CMYK. Plenty large and fully capable of scaling.

one of the logo "rules" i obey to, is: "if you describe your logo to someone on the phone and tell him to make a quick sketch.. and his sketch matches your actual logo by 90% - you got a winner"

gimo33 02-04-2009 09:56 PM

Congrats to the winners! :thumbsup

CybermedAndy 02-04-2009 10:15 PM
