you are an idiot

best of luck in your search

DS250 02-04-2009 10:21 PM

you are so much better off hiring someone with no experience than any of these retreads with 10 years experience. there is a reason they have bounced back and forth from job to job they have nothing to contribute and when the employer realizes it they are let go and then on to the next job. a least with no experience you can mold them and you don't have to contend with 10 years of bad habits. whatever I'm glad I'll never work for anyone but when I hire someone this is what I do.

If that's what you think the job of an affiliate manager is you're an idiot. Yes, you may see that with some affiliate reps, but there are MANY that actually bring something to the table and provide excellent service. If you are trained properly and actually take the time to learn as much as you can you can easily benefit whatever company that you work for and in the end you increase your chances of a higher position or higher pay in your current position. For the ones that don't benefit the affiliates or the company do you think that the company will keep them on the payroll? Just because you have seen some affiliate reps act the way you showed it doesn't mean that ALL are like that. Chances are the ones that were like that are no longer employed.

Some take an opportunity like this to learn, make new contact and help their business and the company's business. Some actually have a brain unlike what you are demonstrating here.

Yup they all jump from job to job.
Also every program that ends up failing is always the affiliate managers fault, always - even if they were underfunded or made bad higher up decisions.
Affiliate managers are also always let go and never quit themselves for reasons that are not aired on the boards since we know if it did not include a gfy drama thread it did not happen.

Your above dialog technically should fit in any industry and with any worker. No reason to ever hire anyone with any experience at all ever since they may come with some bad habits.

What if it's not 10 years of experience working with different companies, but 10+_ years of experience working in the industry? Now you take someone with 10+ years of experience in the adult industry doing their own thing, learning a lot of things, having made many contact and is willing to work for you and give it everything that they have in order to help your company and themselves succeed. Who's to say that the people that you're avoiding are not the ones that would bring your company to a new and higher level?

I understand the whole thing about a person with 10 years of experience and has worked with 10 or more companies.. All short runs. In most cases it can be a bad thing to hire them, but you can't put everyone in that class. Hell, I have 11 years experience, but I have never been an affiliate rep/manager. The jobs that I did do I did not lose due to being a fuck up, but due to the work itself ending and causing everyone to lose their jobs. So, like me, there are many other people with that many years of experience, but never having bounced from company to company.
