The Wrestler (movie)

Great fucking movie!

Definitely, worth seeing. :thumbsup

NickB. 02-04-2009 11:26 PM

yeah micky did an amazing job

skrog 02-04-2009 11:30 PM

You really can't go wrong with a Darren Aronofsky film plus, having Clint Mansell scoring it. I want to see the Fountain. Even though, it has lots of negative feedback.

PastorSinAlot 02-04-2009 11:32 PM

Loved it, I think I will try and become a WWE star now

Danny B 02-05-2009 01:13 AM

I didn't mind Marissa Tomei showing her boobs in almost every scene either.

I love them small titties. :)

RevSand 02-05-2009 02:26 AM

Looks good.. gonna need to track it down this weekend and see it...

Bojangles 02-05-2009 02:38 AM

I'll have to check it out.

ExLust 02-05-2009 02:48 AM

I'd watch this.

Kron 02-05-2009 04:32 AM

very nice movie

Ethersync 02-05-2009 04:34 AM

one of the best movies i have seen (twice) in the last year :)

CaptainHowdy 02-05-2009 04:55 AM

Gotta check it out...

Sarah_Jayne 02-05-2009 04:59 AM

I enjoyed it but I think without him it wouldn't have been as good. So, he gets top marks for me but the film as a whole gets slightly less. Still good though.

PSSuperstars 02-05-2009 05:01 AM

To get some off time.. hubby and I have been doing photos, promotion, webdesign, character development, printing.. the whole shebang.. for a few local wrestling promotions around here... and the movie was SPOT on to the real deal.. with the pain, depression, and lifestyle... The level of self importance that these men really do build themselves up into... all for a $100/week job is amazing. I've never seen people so lowly paid or so... I don't want to say classless... but, it's like they're their own little rockstars in their own little blue collar world...

the movie was a great representation of that lifestyle... they live in their own little bubbles.

:pimp

Was a good movie indeed.

John-ACWM 02-05-2009 07:40 AM

Maybe the best performance from Mickey :thumbsup

Antonio 02-05-2009 08:00 AM

I can hoestly say that I haven't seen even ONE good movie with Mickey which means that I'll wait for 6000 people to tell me that this movie is any good before even considering watching it

Kard63 02-05-2009 08:03 AM

I don't like Mickey in real life. He had agreed to be at some WWE ppv event and then when the movie was more successful than he anticipated he canceled. I'm not a WWE or wrestling fan but that is a bitch move and he has made many in his life.

2012 02-05-2009 08:04 AM

Mickeys Back

tranza 02-05-2009 08:10 AM

I want to check it out....

sue 02-05-2009 08:14 AM

I loved the movie and Mickey Rourke is absolutely great. All his bad bad plastic surgery must have been done with this part in mind:-)

*hugs and kisses*

She still looks great after all these years.

As to the original post, great movie and very depressing. The setting was perfect around Asbury Park.

The Fountain is fucking fantastic. One of the best films i've ever seen.

The negative feedback must be coming from some uneducated idiots.

PR_Sebas 02-05-2009 09:03 AM

Darren is one of the few directors I actually follow, I have enjoyed every one of his films. As for the bad reviews on The Fountain, it was not meant for simpletons for a multitude of reasons. The higher your IQ, the more you will appreciate this film.

I think that sums it pretty much up. But to add a bit on it, I think it was also the story of a sad one trick pony.

HBKKH 02-05-2009 10:48 AM

awesome flick...

SykkBoy 02-05-2009 10:56 AM

great flick and agreed it was Mickey who really made that movie...

it was also fun seeing Necro Butcher and Ernest Miller in the movie.

The hardcore match was brutal and almost a valentine to old school ECW

HorseShit 02-05-2009 11:02 AM

liked it a lot also, seemed like it ended abruptly however

SykkBoy 02-05-2009 11:08 AM

EDIT - stupid GFY double post....

nikki99 02-05-2009 11:24 AM

can't wait!

DaddyHalbucks 02-05-2009 11:29 AM

I can't wait to see it.

NetHorse 02-05-2009 11:38 AM

I liked it too. :thumbsup
