Does anyone from US order prescriptions online?
 

I went to CVS today and for my allergy medicine, its over $100 and my gf's birth control is $60 for a month supply ($1000 health insurance deductible). I asked the pharmacist what do people do without insurance and she said a lot of people buy it online or just put it on a credit card.

So I went online and found some Canadian Rx site selling it for 2/3rds the cost, but when I called the doctor office to get a prescription paper for it so I can fax it in, he refused since I said I was going to order online and he said to come to the office... sure, for $120 for 5 minutes you can :321GFY

my gf said she read on the FDA's site that you should only order from a US site, but they are almost the same prices as the rip off pharmacies. Anyway, just seeing if anyone else has

To be legal in the US Rx sites have to be a member of the NABP.net

If they are not they aren't allowed to sell to us customers. All the members of the NABP share a database and if you fill a script at one the others will look it up if you try to order from another one.

The problem with the NABP is they are very strict and most online RX sites are selling crap meds that are filled with fillers, not regulated and 90% of the time the dosage is wrong. They also don't have a way to verify if you filled a RX one time or 30 times !

Another requirement is your RX has to be filled by a visit in person to a doctor and many online Rx Sites only require a phone consult.

It has been a while, but I use to order from www.medsmex.com.. never had any problems
