Now is the time... let's go in for the kill

Now is the time to attack mainstream media when it's at it's weakest and put our industry on top. We can break down censorship and start a new era of entertainment.

After Shock Media 02-05-2009 02:16 AM

hate to break it to you but we benefit from censorship. The more that sex is associated with perversion and hidden in dark little naughty corners where nobody should talk about it, the more the industry will make as a whole.
The more open society becomes to sex and nudity, the less interest you will have in our products as a whole.

Right now ad executives like those who represented godaddy during the superbowl, the stampede of assorted teen sluts on MTV, and even crap like the popularity of girls shaking their asses on youtube are doing more long term harm to us than any family values or religious organization currently is doing. If anything we should be secretly cheering on our decency enemies to assist them in making what we do become more taboo again.

Of course this is just coming from yet another gfy troll.

Can you prove this? How do you know we can't make more with no censorship?

Makes perfect sense ASM :2 cents:

Other companies make it mainstream, what's to say we can't either without censorship.

i tend to agree with this , the only problem i see is this doesn't pass the real life test very well, in very open countries in europe they buy more porn dont they and very strict censored countries dont sell much porn at all. Doesnt that run contrary to your argument ?

wait actually japan fits your argument well. i guess the censorship must be very arbitrary :)

Do you get more European sales or US sales?
Then yes Japan really hammers it in. Also Germany seems to be getting censorship happy.

Of course in highly censored countries it would be harder to even track sales in the first place as it may be even more underground. Even in early America people were paying big bucks for very tame bondage pictures.

actually by population looking at some of the countries are higher than the usa in sales, although i would have guessed not like you.

Would be interesting to see some stats on that including underground porn. I saw some documentary recently on thenet about porn in pakistan or india and they talked a bit about underground dvd/vhs sales

I think a peak in porn sales is prob right where we are at or close to it in the usa , censored but not too censored :)

Here is my stat question to compare...

What percentage of people spend money on porn in censored countries vs non-censored?
