Wanna speed up IE? check this out, bye bye FF!
if you have a DSL / cable connection you can find useful things here, if you use IE7
FF is very fast but i still prefer Internet Explorer for some reason so after some checks today i found and just tested this trick http://pcs.suite101.com/article.cfm/...ernet_explorer i used the number "20" when it comes to the value he suggests instead to set to 10 and i have never seen it quicker with thumb websites.... give it a go. tested here on XP PRO SP3 dsl 20mbit (yes if you dont change this thing thumbs still load a bit slow). enjoy! |

nice trick, but it'll take a little bit more than that to leave my beloved FF. :)
you can do the same tweak to firefox.
Nice, now you'll get that virus and spyware much faster!
don't want to speed it up, don't use it anyway
IE is an abomination.
That's a great reason to dump the browser I've been using for 3 years.
i only want to remove it from my system

HTTP RPC dictate that you can only send 2 concurrent requests to a server.
Both IE and FF can get around this. It's a little bit embarrassing you only just found this out ;) That said, I still hate FF with a passion. It's clunky, slow, and does all sorts of annoying shit, the most annoying of which is automagically updating on startup. If I wanted to wait 5 minutes to surf the web.. I'd ask for it. Chrome + Maxthon2 all the way. Chrome for slick, fast browsing, Maxthon2 for designing and debugging - it leaves FF for dead. |
I guess I'll give it a try just for the heck of it although I am also using FF
I will stick with FF although it is about time I took a look at chrome.
hate ff and ie, opera and safari is cool!
but thanks for sharing |
It's quite funny to see people getting defensive about which web browser they use.
These threads make me laugh.
