why are gfy skins 1024?
 

i mean why the headers are not 1000 or smaller so there will be not needed scrollbar at bottom and gfy will look more clean and professional? its some rule here? its detail i know but it looks lame ... :2 cents: have a nice weekend everyone! :thumbsup

if 1000px is too wide on your screen you obviously need an upgrade

I view GFY on one of my side monitors... 1024x1280, and so it has the scroll. :(

I got slight side scroll with 1024x768, no I don't need a bigger monitor, I'm satisfied with this resolution.

All the GFYers are rich and have HUGE monitors ;)

The number should be about 974.... Clearly they have designers that just do graphics work and don't have a clue about details like that... and I guess the managers that should be checking that work also don't have a clue... They've done the same stupid thing on their most recent pay sites as well... What amazes me is that in these big companies they don't have senior manager types that can put together a checklist for the designers of things to do and not do...

1024 as i am webdesigner and 1024 is still standart, half of the planet is using it ... and as Tempest wrote, 980 for design is maximum, thats what i learned also ... :winkwink:

Well, , I don't have a scroll bar at the bottom. I suppose because my resolution is bigger. Perhaps you should make yours bigger. And I agree with TeenCat, 1024 is standard, and half of the planet is using it.
