Thunder-Ball.net - Status
 

Since eveyone ignores my ICQ note....

Thunder-Ball.net is OFFline due to Constant Hack Attacks.

We decided to take it OFFLINE rather than lose data and trades.

It is blocked by a password protection because we still need it to do some things... but we had to cut off public access which is where the script hacker has been attacking.

The attack is a basic robotic script harassment attack... no real purpose except to install BS spyware and viruses. But its the kind of attack that has little value other than to cause people to panic and hire an Anti-Hack service. It's is of course the Anti-Hack services that secretly and untraceably conduct these attacks to keep them selves in business.

A hacker of this skill would attempt to steal more sensative and profitable information... but thats a whole different level of crime here in the US and the Anti-Hack services probably won't risk that.

No ETA... But I belive I have isolated the Hackers attack point so possibly online by sunday or monday

Nah.. the spider is one of the things that is still running.... but you wont get alerts until you are able to access your account again

He certainly isn't running a charity site, it might be free to the users, but the information that the site owner has access to is priceless... Just because it's not obvious how $$ is being made, doesn't mean that there isn't a huge profit made behind the scenes... :2 cents:

hmm man wish you luck with solving this, but if you are running something big as thunderball is you must fuck with hacker in minutes, even if its some script. not solving it as a big issue and you are working on it ... just my :2 cents:

Yes, the spider (Aswell as tbn its self) is still running and checking links as usual so you should leave your links up, and just pickup where you left off when its opened to the public again. ( Good judgement on your part. :thumbsup )
