HTML or Wordpress?
I'm putting together a website that is mostly mainstream with a little bit of adult thrown in(the occasional topless chick). Its just going to be a simple site, where people can purchase my products. There wont be alot of updating, so its not a problem to update manually with html.
My question is, which is better in terms of search enginges - a simple SEO html page, or a wordpress template? and why? Thanks |
Just do it static so you dont have to worry about wordpress version updates.
|
good point, I had not thought of that. Thank you.

with wordpress you have to manage all sorts of seo plugins and shit just to make it seo friendly. It can be done, and you can run any number of different sites through wordpress, but... it is not what you want.

Well that settles it then, Im going with HTML. There isnt going to be much in the way of graphics, so other than meta tags, what else can I do so the search engines like it?
|
onpage optimization is a lot more then metatags... I'd do more research on that before you get into it to far if you are really going after search engine traffic.

versions after 2.7 have auto-update option, so that's 1 click upgrade operation... nothing to really worry about... |

I think simple html page is better for SE, but WP is easy-to-use

yep wordpress
|
if you will not update it often i rather build it in an html file. static pages is much easier to rank in search engine rather that dynamic webpages

Go with wordpress. A lot of plugins that make you life easier :thumbsup
