Mainstream designer needed
Hello folks.
We are currently looking for a mainstream designer to assist with fleshing out content for one of our new websites. This means we already have the base design done, but we will need elegant means to display complex information, lay it out nicely, and be readable/eye catching. So we're looking for the following: 1) Must be reliable. Check in multiple times a day for feedback/progress if warranted. Respond to e-mails quickly and efficiently, meet deadlines/time estimates every time. 2) See #1 :) 3) Looking for individuals at this time - sorry, no design firms. As mentioned we have the base design we like, but need content pages completed, and other minor tweaks. There will be quite a bit of back and forth as we work with your expertise to determine the best way to lay things out. 4) Available starting either this or next week, estimate roughly 20-30 hours of work on this particular project. More work on other projects if this goes well. 5) Experience in user interface design a huge plus. Must enjoy taking complicated concepts, and working with clients on how to lay it out nicely, what pieces of information may be well served with illustrations, etc. Technical writing proficiency a plus, but not required. 6) Experience with Drupal a large plus. 7) Of course must be proficient with basic html, css, photoshop, etc. Pay is negotiable at a per hourly rate each week, with a project completion bonus. You must be able to submit us invoices in order to receive payment. We are not afraid to pay for quality *dependable* work. If project management is not your forte - this is not the work for you. We simply need someone who does not get bothered by the minutia of "finishing touches" on a site. Must be able and willing to enter into a standard NDA. Hopefully that pretty much outlines what we need, feel free to ask questions! E-mail preferred: [email protected] - I can also be found on AIM at philtwoone Thanks! -Phil Edit: Just want to interject we're looking for someone to work on a contract basis long-term. Be our "go to guy" when we need small items done here and there. Unfortunately our current one got hired full time, and no longer has the time needed to do work for us. If we get a good relationship going, we are open to a monthly retainer agreement. |

Hi,
I know you said no design firms, if you reconsider we can do "elegant means to display complex information, lay it out nicely, and be readable/eye catching." and slice it into valid strict xhtml w/css if needed. folio http://www.silvercrocodile.com/portfolio/mainstream Good luck! |
have you seen this thread? talented designer available...

Cherrylula,
He seems pretty much perfect :) However, we are unfortunately not hiring full time for this position at this time. I'll definitely be talking to the others that posted here/e-mailed me today. I'm not "firm" on no design firms - if you operate a smallish shop and don't mind the back and forth of an "employee experience", then by all means. We are not looking for a "here is what we want, please make a pretty template" type of design shop (already have that part done!). -Phil |
Hi Phil, please take a look at our portfolio here: www.RiotDesign.com.ar/
We're a group of 3 designers (not an outsourcing company btw.) so you will be dealing with any of us designers directly. We've got lots of experience in software GUI & usability design (we're currently preparing our full mainstream portfolio, so the samples are not up yet). And we do design only, no HTML/CSS. :thumbsup |
Hey there, if you are still shopping around then please contact me as I have a designer who has worked many years in high end mainstream and is currently looking for projects to take on. :)
|
please take a look at my examples in my sig, we are a group of 2 designers, also with no outsourcing,
|
Good luck and bump!
