I fucking missed it! I didn't even know he was going to speak last night until 30 mins into it

His inability to look at the camera is annoying.

I have to agree with a trader that was on CNBC this morning "it was like a pop tart commercial" So I am sure most Americans loved it.

I watched it, and honestly, am pretty much neutral on this whole economic thing.

My thoughts are that we should have just let everyone and everything that was going to crash do so.

I see that as the real long term fix. As a society, we live far beyond our means.

I am an advocate of gas being about $10 a gallon, so that we are forced to break the dependency on foreign oil. As long as prices are low, we collectively are lazy, and thus enslaved.

That's me. I'm anti bailout to everything.

That said...

In theory, I would like to see our country be able to do all the things that were mentioned.

Whether or not we as a nation have the intestinal fortitude to do so is the question.

Wow, when you listen to him he sounds great and everything sounds possible... too bad I think he is full of shit basically. I understand why he is so appealing to the masses though.

The guys makes like 5 speeches a day. In between travelling somewhere to make a speech. He loves the spotlight.

Missed it, but I am sure the " Crisis " is a " Crisis " that we can avoid by doing something about the " Crisis " before the " Crisis " can get to out of hand. If we were to begin to bail out the companies that are in a " Crisis " then the over all " Crisis " that the nation faces may be less of a " Crisis " and the personal and financial " Crisis " of the people will even out and the " Crisis " will be over.
