Attorney General: No More MARIJUANA RAIDS!!
Since y'all are on here complaining about the assault weapons ban, maybe this will make you happy..I got this from another board.
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2009/0..._n_170119.html Attorney General Eric Holder said at a press conference Wednesday that the Justice Department will no longer raid medical marijuana clubs that are established legally under state law. His declaration is a fulfillment of a campaign promise by President Barack Obama, and marks a major shift from the previous administration. After the inauguration, the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) continued to carry out such raids, despite Obama's promise. Holder was asked if those raids represented American policy going forward. "No," he said. "What the president said during the campaign, you'll be surprised to know, will be consistent with what we'll be doing in law enforcement. He was my boss during the campaign. He is formally and technically and by law my boss now. What he said during the campaign is now American policy." The exchange takes place at about the 25:00 mark here. Holder's declaration is a high point for the movement to legalize medical marijuana, which has been growing for decades despite federal hostility. |

Thats decent news. It's not fair to have a condition where it helps you, the state permits it, and then have federal agents waste your own money busting you. Kicked while down is a bad light to view your own government in. Obama seems to realise these big pictures pretty well.

I couldn't believe that Republicans were actually getting behind these raids, because I always imagined they were against the Federal Government overruling states laws and choices. |
I don't smoke but that's great news for someone who needs it for med purposes :thumbsup
|
This is excellent news. I smoke it for medical reasons. One step closer to legalization.
|
About time to stop fucking with legal patients.

My buddy as been growing for canadian goverment for a while, talk about a hell of a contract.
He grows, goverment buys... no pain in the ass with bunch of stoner customers ;-) |
This is good to hear. There was a case in my state recently where the feds busted a medical grow operation. They spent who knows how much money and time staking this place out and getting their info then they determined it was a legit medical only grow. So they raided it. They then released a statement that they were taking and destroying the plants, but not charging anyone with a crime. They could have spent this time and money finding someone who was actually breaking a law.

They need an oath like what people take on the stand in a trial, except more like "we're going to uphold the law, the whole law, and nothing but the law." |
i don't get what qualifies someone as needing medicinal marijuana, from what i've heard it's retarded easy to get or find someone with their card down there. i keep it gangsta and goto a dealer.........
|
Good news.
Lets hope they take the money the republicans were wasting and use it to chase the real criminals. |

This is really good news for the medical front, if true, though it is likely to be so. Obama made it a point to let people know that he was going to do this during his campaign. Its nice to see him keep his word.
That being said...........just make the shit legal. Grow it, tax it, and sell it at my local store. I'll be a loyal buyer of HYDRO WIDES IN A BOX, and the economy can get something out of it too. |
I need to get high.. but my cold won't let me... fuck!
|
Wish medical was legal nationwide.... :(*
