Being a webmaster is not healthy...

I find myself doing the same things every day.
I work from home and then go out with friends to pubs and bars to drink alchol and meet girls...
This is my daily routine... Other people socialize with their coworkers...
But Im just by myself and the computer...
I know its a great job and everything...When nobody tells you wat to do and you wake up when ever you want...
I find myself stuck at home at mid day because all my friends have to work.
I usually go to the gym or grab something to eat with people that dont work the same day...
My friends telling me Im crazy, that this is the way I live...
When I find myself waking up at 12-1pm and just going outside later on...
Sometimes I really enjoy it and sometimes I feel like I missing the normal waking up in the morning thing and going to work...
Im living like that for around 3 years now...
Do you guys feel the same?

being an alcoholic is not healthy, but there is nothing unhealthy about being a webmaster unless you have other problems.

go to gym 3 times per week

I go through love/hate cycles with working from home. I try and break up my day by hitting the gym in the middle of the day.

I find the worse thing about working from home is that people assume you do very little or have it easy. I work harder now than I ever did working for someone else.

Wow.... these threads amaze me.

I live a charmed life. Sure occasionally I feel like I need some more social interaction. But I actually do something about it. Whether going out somewhere, or meeting new people online and going out for a bite, golf, whatever.

I would not change my lifestyle for any amount of money. Freedom is simply that good.

Stop blaming your job. You're your own boss, so you can do something about it. What you need is discipline to live healthier and like "normal" people. Wake up early, have breakfast, work, have dinner & go outside and/or visit a friend etc.

mizmiz 02-27-2009 04:19 PM

Just to let you guys know I do love my job. I Ill never ever quit...

Look at the positive side. Your time is your own. You can do side projects. You have scheduling flexibility that others would kill for. You also get paid to learn and be creative.
