Legalize it ?!?
I keep hearing all this/that, about how legalization of bud will save the economy ... is it too simple of a plan, or will this really do it? Could it be ... a new day?
|
no it won't save the economy.
|
Based on the thread I did about this same topic, the big debate was NOT whether it will have an economic impact but to WHAT DEGREE. Some argue that legalization will just divert economic activity from law enforcement to other areas. Others also point out the tax revenues might not be enough.
However, there's also multiplier factors that need to be looked at. Also, the saved money from enforcement/corruption can be diverted to more economically productive ventures. |
Dont criticize it... |
It's more about reduced cost for law enforcement/incarceration and additional tax revenue. Not just on the bud, but on the shit people use to ingest it. Plus, there would be increases in jobs based on shop keepers to sell that crap, the bud itself, bud bars, etc.
It truly is a retarded thing to have pot illegal, but it's not the first retarded thing america has done. lol |
good way to pay for the tarp spending
|
in comparison ... how many die (active/passive) by alc and
how many by ganja ?! ... difference: the alc taxes ... as a matter of fact ... when the police controls "smokers" they report them as being very relaxed and easy to get by with, other than ALC users who are reported as aggressive and hard to handle ... free GRASS today :) |
they should try legalizing it and see if legalization is actually as bad as they think.
|
One argument I hear against it is that it will cause everyone to start smoking it and we will have a nation of potheads. I always disagree with them. Many jobs drug test. They will continue to do so in the future so there are a lot of people who won't smoke it just because their job depends on it. The same with driving. If you get in a wreck and they do a test on you and you have pot in your system you get a DUI (or you could just get pulled over for DUI and fail the test) so I think there are still going to be enough social constraints in place that will keep a lot of people from smoking it (or at least doing it very often).
|
It would work out well
|
Tax isn't much of an issue unless you could buy it like a pack of smokes.
It's really not that hard to grow. There's a reason they call it "weed". |
i have a marijuana domain for sale
|
It will help stop some of the organized crime
|
too many ultra conservatives are not going to let that happen.

No it won't save the economy since the economy was nothing but a controlled substance for a certain group of individuals who got strung out and OD'ed.
Here's a good Docu on the subject though The Union: The business behind getting high. http://blip.tv/file/1356143/ |
