I'm a native Spanish speaker and I would like to apologize for this ridiculous song having reached international airwaves :(

It makes very little sense

Basically: "mom, fix my lock of hair because I'm going to travel"

and thanks Annikn for the translate, it was confusing the heck out of me :1orglaugh

:1orglaugh no problem! I hadn't actually figured out what it said because I avoid it like the plague X_x it's the only thing it says, it just changes places :)

maybe you like this one better? I actually had more luck figuring this one out, although I had to ask mis amigos about "pagaito" :1orglaugh

good song and video:

I don't like "banda" music that much... I'm a pretentious cunt and listen to indie British bands :1orglaugh :) I do have a couple of guilty pleasures though but I hide them even from myself so I only remember them when they pop up somewhere and I take just a little too long to change the station on purpose :1orglaugh :P

Question! Am I right in thinking you speak Russian? :) I want to learn Russian... wanna trade languages? :)

d-null 03-03-2009 10:17 PM

that's cool, I like listening to spanish music to try to improve my spanish but of course it is often totally confusing due to slang and strange wordings... like listening to Suerte and trying to figure out what she meant by "estoy hasta el cuello por ti" the first time I heard it :1orglaugh

I find that lyrics are a good way to get phrases stuck in your head without too much effort though, so it is a good language learning tool for me

It definitely works! That's how I learnt English :D :1orglaugh 9 years of classes without being able to do anything useful with English at all, but then Eminem's album came out and after the summer I was suddenly able to speak fluently, no conscious effort :1orglaugh I'll forward you some songs that might come in handy! :)
