California Sucks
 

I got a speeding ticket for almost $300 for going only 16 miles an hour above the speed limit. The clerk lied to me about my extension and I got another $700 in fines. People are getting robbed in California. Go to a traffic court there's allot of people yelling and crying because the governments illegaly increasing taxes on fees and fines. They tricked me into thinking if I was only 1 day late all I had to pay was a $10 assesment fee which was bullshit and that came from a supervisor. So when I came back from work in SF today and asked why she didn't tell me about the additional $700 in fees for being one day late she said she didn't think I was concerned about that, even though I made it very clear I needed to know if there would be more fees if I was a few days late and the only one she said I would get is a $10 fee.

I have an answere to solve the high taxes and fees in California and it will likely fix or budget. GET RID OF THE ILLEGAL ALIENS AND DEPORT ALL OF THEM!!!!

I just got back from the grocery store and there are all these poor illegal immigrants with 4 or more kids buying food for there anchor babies with our tax dollars, they get these WIC checks!!! Got to any larger hispanic community in Los Angeles and nearly 90% of those illegal families likely millions just in LA pay for there food with food stamps and WIC. Quit a allot have jobs and don't pay taxes like the rest of us and if they where paying taxes they likely wouldn't be elgible due to income. Everytime they have a kid and they have allot guess who pays for it? THE TAX PAYERS!!! Why raise taxes and fees on Americans who pay taxes and give illegals free everything?????

Some people say they don't take our good jobs which is BULLSHIT!!!! allot of these illegals speak perfect english and blend in with everyone else. They work as servers in high class resturants, secretarys at dr offices, they are receptionists at law firms. They get paid under the table and they pay NO TAXES!!! There's allot of white people here from australia, germany, Italy and I have known a few that had great jobs as architects, welders etc mostly skilled trades like construction where they make over $13 plus an hour. Tom Lykis had a call in show where he had an illegal hour where all the illegals called in Los Angeles, allot had no accents and had great jobs, when you think of illegals most people think of non english speaking people from mexico but think again the problem is much bigger than you think.

I'm pissed off because it effected me today and this year to live in California I have to pay several thousand more dollars in taxes.

In the court room all the illegal non english speaking immigrants got to go first and get a free interpretor. I had to wait 4 hours longer than these illegals to see a judge. Most of them had there charges dissmissed, most where driving without licenses. I think the next time everyone who sees these illegals with food stamps and WIC we should tell them how we feel and really put the preassure on them. I wish they would get the fuck out of our country and go fuck up someone elses economy!!!

I got a jaywalking ticket and the cop told me they would mail the bill to all of us. He did not know how much it would cost and told me just to wait for the mail.

Everyone got theirs sent to them but me.

I called them and was informed that I missed my court date and they did not have to mail anything to me. $700+ added to my costs, for a fucking Jaywalking ticket, which I have still not paid.

Do what I did...relocate out to Florida. That is, if you can take it being very humid in the summer. I love California...(mostly for the the weather)....but there is just too much bullshit there. That's why I fucking bailed the fuck out of there.

I just moved to AZ last year from CA, its so much better here. But it does get hot here.

You want to talk about bullshit. One of my brothers recently got laid off after 16 years due to the recession. He filed for unemployment but didn't hear anything for almost 3 months. So he finally got someone on the phone and the lady politely laughed stating that because of government cutbacks there weren't enough people to review cases and the average time to have your case reviewed and collect is now 1 year!!!! Just imagine that, you lose your job and have no shot at unemployment for 1 year because of government cutbacks. So what the hell are people supposed to do?

I also get so sick of all these illegal alien haters... THEY are not to blame, how can you blame them for wanting to live somewhere better, it is a STATE and LEGISLATION problem. THEY are the source of the problem for not doing their jobs we pay them for with all our taxes.

The thing I like the most about California is the way nobody needs a job because we have all the illegal aliens doing all our work. And the way magic mushrooms grow out of the cow shit left on the sides of the mountains. And especially the way the smog seems to give that extra special growth process to the palm trees that sort of lean forward gasping for the last fresh gasp of the exhausts being chugged out along the hollywood freeway. It's a breath of fresh air (oops, pardon the pun!).

If that's true, they'd be stupid to be doing it. Companies get busted all the time for that. All someone has to do is tip off the IRS about illegals working there and the entire company will be going down.

As for your ticket fees... why would you trust what somebody tells you about the fees? That's just dumb. If it's not in writing it doesn't mean anything. They should have all the fees printed on paper (it's done on the back of the ticket in FL).

California must be the state in the federation with the highest income..
Imagine all the real estate they make bank on with property taxes and not to mention they have one of the highest personal income tax brackets also.
You would think they could operate the state with the best care for its residents, with great public schools and infrastructure...
But instead we have the worst schools, the worst infrastructure and a state budget in the red by gazillions of $$.
I dont know the solution but i do know that they should all be fired...

Ok so I moved here from Chitown in '07...and I got pulled over last year after a night of drinking. I ran a red light and threw out a lit cig when the cop had just pulled me over. Really smart. I didn't flirt, I didn't cry, and no I didn't show my breasts... and I was facing about 3 potential tickets. I got off with one ticket (running the red light). Now while that SUCKED, could have been a lot worse...in Chicago I surely would have been yanked out of the car for smelling like red wine.

For all you Cali ppl who are complaining...at least it's not snowing, -30 and, btw...the economy in the Midwest right now is truly horrific, there are ZERO jobs out there. Stop focusing on all of the negativity...it just makes it worse.

I am sure I will annoy some ppl with this reply...oh well.

I used to work for a shuttle company that takes people to/from the airport. I was taking an elderly couple from LAX to the cruise ship terminal in San Pedro.

As I was coming down the off ramp going the posted speed on the off ramp of 45mph I heard a siren. To my left, a wall of ice plant meant to deaden sound waves. To my right more ice plant and some trees.

I started coming to a stop but wasn't sure yet if the guy was behind me so I am just cautiously slowing down almost to a crawl. The elderly couple is wondering why I am stopping.

I finally spot the ambulance. It is behind a wall of bushes and trees in the median of the cross street. So I come to a complete stop even though I have a green light. I am now approximately 1 foot into the intersection.

The ambulance also comes to a complete stop only he is about 5 feet into the intersection. They don't "run" red lights... it is policy to stop and then pass through them when they see everyone else has stopped (even if they have the green light).

The motorcycle cop behind him didn't think he'd actually stop and almost plowed into the back of the ambulance. He looked at me and figured I made the ambulance stop by entering the intersection and proceeded to write me a ticket. For $580. The old man in back of my van is cussing at the cop and telling him what kind of dumbshit he is and that he is lucky they got a shuttle because at least I heard the siren and didn't plow through the intersection.

The old man goes with me to court and I fight it. He tells the judge how he would have plowed through the intersection. I did a good deed.

They sent him to the DMV to be retested to keep his license!

I got my fine...

So I sent the cop and the judge both Christmas cards. Took a nice pic of me and the old man... Two detectives showed up at my house asking me if I wanted bad things to happen to anyone involved. Asked if I owned guns... Yes, I have 2 shotguns. Can we see them? Check them out.. Don't know what for.. Standard issue 30" barrel shotguns for duck hunting. Ask if I own any knives. Sure do... Ask to see them... Checking blade lengths I guess. Then I got a strongly worded letter in the mail from the district attorney to never send either the cop or the judge correspondence again or try to contact them in any way.

Fucking love our system of justice...

My favorite was getting a parking ticket at about 2pm, when the sign clearly said NO PARKING 12-1pm. Went into a bank for 10 minutes, came out had a ticket.

I had to jump through hoops, but they dropped the ticket.

I wanted to file a complaint against the person who ticketed me, but didn't bother as the ticket writing wasn't even legible and the issue really pissed me off. So when it was dropped I moved on.

I was illegally ticketed.

Speed Kills.

Which is exactly why people are leaving California in droves and Colorado is flying banners around the sky's tempting business to move to there.
