No bad maintenance of plane. pilot was still in training and forgot to keep speed. 100 seconds with gas in neutral.

The altimeters failed. They indicated the plane was higher than it actually was. Response from the autopilot: cut down power on the engines.

THAT's where the PILOTS(plural) dropped the ball. They tried to correct it but only long after they actually found out. Too late.

just hearing that on the live conference, the radioaltimeter already failed before theyre now gonna check if it was bad maintained.
